    Bridgestone BT-003s?

Anyone here run the new 003 tires yet?

Guess they are the new replacement to the 002 Pros.
Just wondering how they were. I hear they are stickier yet
last longer. But everyone says that now.

I have an extra set of rims on which I'd like to put some
Track Day only rubber. Another choice I'm thinking of
is the new Diablo SuperCorsa Pros.

    Re: Bridgestone BT-003s?

They have an 003 out? Guess I'm behind the times. I have the 002 RS tires now, when ever anyone sees them they say "oh the trackday tire" and I look at them kinda funny. Never knew they were trackday tires...maybe they get that from "racing street"

Anyhow the 002's knock the piss out of pilots. The rear only lasted about 2000 miles but they're not too expensive, just ordered a new rear for $138.99

I heard the 016's were good too but they might not be as soft as what you're looking for. They are triple compound though, so they just might be.

Akira, we have more stock of the Diablo Corsa III trackday tires coming in. $315 per set mounted and balanced.

Akira, talk to Miles @ Street & Comp. I got a chance to talk to him about these, and he raves about them. I had fair luck with the BT002's, and I had the street version, rather than the compound distributed through race tire ditributors. I think Miles has a pair of these for me to try out at one of the upcoming TTDs.

    Re: Bridgestone BT-003s?

Yeah I rode Hessogood's CBR with 002 Pros on them
    (the DOT race tire)
And I liked them alot. Its hard to explain but they seemed to
be able to scrub speed on turn entry in a way that my Pilot Power 2CTs
couldn't. The Powers seem to just stick no matter what while
the Bridgestones seem to have a bit of give that made them
easier to work in the turns.

Anyone know what I'm talking about? Maybe I'm just imagining
this since I really have been a Pilot Power guy all along.
Still like em just want to try going a step up.

If you like the feedback from the b-stones you will love what the Pirelli feels like!

I've not done a trackday, let alone with the 002's...though I did beat the hell out of them on the famed T********** road and I was impressed.

I know the race tires come in 3 different compounds, not sure what compound the pro's equal out to. Maybe he had the harder compound, as they are hard med and soft or something along those lines...not too familiar with the race tires but I've seen them and heard of people running them.

The pirellis Gently spin sometimes to Say "hey dont do that There" Maybe a higher Gear is better since we are getting shagged, or a little later on the gas please. I tried Bridgestones once when they spun it said "Pit in Now"

A spy intercepted this communique, which illustrates such tire feedback that occurs.

    Dear James
Congratulations on your bump to expert. We are, however, sad to have to share that we were already feeling overworked, albeit appreciated. Now I'm terrified as to what you'll put us through. Frankly, I'm wondering if the benefits package you offer is even worth it. Please slow down, we're just plain worn out!

    Sincerely,
    Your Pirelli tires.

That's true, if you can get a pair while Boston Moto has them on sale, you literally can't go wrong. My companies cost on those Dragons is about $10 more than what they sold them to me, including mounting.

Plus, I love them. Just like my Corsa III's...but better.

Try all the tires you can, find one you feel comfy on.

I have trophied from here to Miami on B'stones 002 for the last three years. Although trohies are more attributed to the rider than the equipment, I would recommend the B'stone products to anyone.

Cunnently I am on Dunlops mainly due to Stevie's customer support and trackside performance. Stevie (the dunlop guy at NHMS) is often seen on the grid checking his tires and talking with his riders.

    Re: Bridgestone BT-003s?

I ran the bridgestones at the begining of the season, and a guy I pit with talked me into trying the Pirelli's and I'll never run a bridgestone again,Not that the bridgestone was all that bad but I like the feed back much better from the Pirelli, feel more comfortable I never liked the way the front felt
