Just thinking some more... You could do quick disconnects on the hard wired model...

I like how your brain works...if I had multiple bikes, that's exactly what I'd do because I'd totally forget to charge the battery...

Re: Group buy for transponders ( any interest )

    Alright ladies and gents,
The dreaded topic of direct 12V hook up and rechargeable has come up. I was thinking of a 80/20 split 80% direct 20% rechargeable. Also I know there are a few people looking for just the charger that can be doable as well, FYI for the the charger people Radio Shack 90% of the time has the plugs. I'm starting the fire under Miles chair as I type, we are already set up as a dealer we are just need to crunch numbers.

Ya I hear ya doc, BUT, there's nothing wrong with making sure that everyone sharpens there pencil 's on there pricing to get us the best deal while they also make a buck...just saying. One thing is we'll have to put this vto bed soon and get them ordered ....

Yep and it will end up a bidding war for the retailer to make $5 per transponder. That's why we are out.

Good for the customer though. You guys should get a mega deal on these.

Ok, I just got off the phone with Paul from Mylaps. It's not looking very good. There is very little margin for dealers unless we buy 50 units then we get a so/so deal.

As it stands right now if you were to buy from THEM direct it would cost you $425 for direct wire and $468 for rechargeable. (they charge $20 shipping on each unit)

You know I love all you guys and if I could do a better deal I would but right now the only thing I can offer is 5% off their prices. (I still need to order 20 of them to offer that deal)

And to be completely honest I don't think Mylaps cares if you're a dealer or not. So if you guys all got together on your own and had a single person place an order for 20 you would get the full discount.

So what's the price at 20 people and what's the price at 50 people?

    5% off for 20 people. 10% off for 50.
