I'm looking for insight/Ideas for my means of camping/transporting my gear/bikes to the track for the 2020 season early.
I've spent some time admitting the numerous forms of "camping" and DIY toy haulers at Loudon the past two rounds and have been pondering the idea of upgrading for next year.
Currently I'm borrowing my parents travel trailer and hauling that up with my truck while a buddy follows with both our bikes on my three rail trailer.
I'm looking at doing a partial toy hauler conversion to something like a 7x14 v-nose aluminum trailer and pull it with my 1500. Throw in a set of strapless systems for 2 bikes, some insulation on the walls, tile floor and a set of bunks.
I'm trying not to spend a fortune but also understand you get what you pay for in most cases. I feel a separate vehicle would only cause head aches as its yet another thing to cover maintenance on vice a trailer especially because I already have a truck to pull with.
Any one have experience doing something like this? Any lessons learned? Any things to avoid? Pics only make things better if possible.
Thanks!
