Ahhh... the bitter sweet last race weekend of the year is coming up. Who's fighting for what? I know at least a few NESR members that are gonna be bringin home some wood at this year's banquet!
I'm hopin to grab two, maybe three myself
- clinched 2nd in LWGP
- clinched 2nd in Pirelli Challenge (if only I had one one more!)
- only 9 points ahead of Todd Babcock for 3rd in LWSB (can't finish more than one rider behind him!)
- 11 points behind Mark Dages for 3rd in LWSS (it'll take a miracle to take it)
but here are just a few other familiar NESR names I see amongst the leaders in various points races:
Experts:
Mark Dages (MWPT, LWSS, PTWN (wrapped up!) etc)
Mike Martire (Motard, ULSB, etc)
Scott Mullin (MWPT, LWSS, LWSB, etc)
Scotty Greenwood (And with quite a few championships all wrapped up! Certainly no surprise there)
Amateurs:
Dave Kagan
Kevin Senecal
James Flagg
James Borzelli
Adam Clark
Chriz Nazzaro, who is currently tied for 4th and in 4 way battle for 2nd & 3rd place in Super Twins
But who else we got?
More importantly, what are the tight races to watch this upcoming weekend? What's coming down to the wire? What's gonna decide what championships?

Dave and I were talking about this, and I'm not sure I had the right answer for him:
Is there any "official" championships(achievement award, etc) for amateur classes? I can't remember from last year's banquet if they gave anything out.

Yes, Pete you are correct.
Winner of:
~ Amateur MW Grand Prix (Championship is clinched)
Current Leader in the following:
~ Amateur MW Superbike

Basically, if I stay upright, I'll win all four.

ya im 9 points up in super singles so hopefully a flawless weekend is upon me. First AM year and win a championship, ya i will have a boner. Ohh im second in the motard and currently 14 points down from first with the first place guy blowing his bike up last weekend so...... maybe two championships?
I clinched the pre-novice and poser classes
EX 105 : CCS Atlantic, Mid Atlantic, South East, Florida, and WERA
Sponsors: Motul, Michelin/STS, K&N, Woodcraft
I'm currently hanging onto 20th in LWSM by a c-hair
14th in Motard by the slimmest of margins
Tied for last in Super Singles 21st place
And tied for last in ULSB 25th place
All in all not a very good season for me. I had hopes of a top 7 in a championship, but it was obviously not meant to be.
3rd in Novice 125GP
4th in Novice LWGP, 26 points behind 1st (Rambuctous)
Roland Arsenault
LRRS and USCRA #763
2012, 2013 and 2015 Big Fish Small Pond Champion
"The 4 board is an upshift marker, not a brake marker"
I'm currently running 4th on Novice LWSS. Since Mike Kurtz is in 3rd, there might a chance.
I'm currently 16th of 33 in GTL and 7th of 15 in Formula 40 Lites.
So, in 2 weekends of racing, I'm in the top half of the classes I run. Not too shabby. I'll take that.
