Classic advertised on the radio this morning

Doing the normal routine this morning, heading into work about 5:45-6:00 am. For what ever reason, I'm listening to the radio and not the ipod. A pretty decent commercial for the Loudon Classic on Rock 101 during the Morning Buzz radio show.

    They hit the high points:

Bike week, longest running race in America, multiple days of racing, grandstands/pit passes, "wheel to wheel racing" ect.

Very cool to hear the race being advertised!

It was announced this weekend that the track is putting in over $10,000 into promotion for the Classic! Awesome to see the track promoting our event!

Yeah, I'm blown away that they're actually advertising it! Well produced commercial for sure. VERY uncharacteristic of past attempts...

The only misleading things is - and this is certainly no slight on any of the racer-types here - is that to the unknowing, they make it sound like the pros are gonna be racing here again. Between last night & this morning, I've already had three people ask me when they got AMA racing back...
