    Cheers man!

Has always been a pleasure watching him race, it appears he has everything in his life well sorted, I think this is a smart move.

Got to meet him at Loudon in '93 when he was teamed up with Jamie James for Yamaha/Vance & Hines... A genuine, down-to-earth guy that would simply be fun to hang out with.
Nothing short of incredible that he has competed at this level for so long. Best wishes Colin!

He's had a good run, and is a great guy. I've seen him race several times, heard him speak a few times, chatted with him a couple times.
One of my best racewatching memories is going to the MotoGP at Laguna Seca in 2005 -- the first GP in America in ten years -- and seeing two Americans on the podium.
Nicky Hayden won that race, and Colin Edwards second, with Rossi third.

Very Sad to hear this.....What a charismatic guy. I remember watching him early in moto gp and I am amazed at his longevity. Im a huge hayden fan and remember that race in Assen in 2006 and breathing a sigh of relief. You knew the day would come eventually when he would retire but it still feels a bit of a shock to me....
