One finds religion in those corners. You peg your throtte to the pin and look for seventh gear. Vibations coming from the bike and wind; the likes of which you have never felt nor heard before.

With the bike maxed out and the banks pounding the gas tank into your chest, you have about 20-seconds maybe a full minute to enjoy the experience, or pray. I found myself doing the latter.

I will complete a full report when we get home.

Right now, lets have a moment of silence for rider Bryan Cassell who lost his life in mornng practice yesterday.

Our prayers go out to Jeff Tatham who was also involved in the crash, information on Jeff and details of the incident being witheld at the request of his family. I shall observe their request.

Hang in there Jeff, get well soon.

A full report to come later, but here are the highlights from daytona.

Had a blast down there.
Gerard and I had some GREAT races together. Plenty of passing and re-passing each other.
I have some awesome on-bike video of the races, with sound.

Without the help of Gordon, Dan & Barb and Spencer we would not have been able to do this. many many thanks to you guys for making this happen for us racers. It really means so much to us to have the help and support of you guys without whom it just would not happen.

I had an awesome time at Daytona. I have a lot of respect for Gerard, Degsy, and Dan for their ability to haul a bike around the track at 165mph within inches of other racers. It was pretty amazing to watch. Thanks go out to Spence for the help in the pits and to Barb for all the food and drinks. Beth (aka Starkesha) and Jen provided some much needed entertainment when we all needed it. It was great to see Steve&Lisa, Scott, Sylvia, and to meet Keith, although we weren't able to spend much time with them since they were in the fancy RV area.
I have some great pictures and mpeg shots of the racing to go along with all the stories. After being away for over a week, I'm up to my eyeballs in problems at work, so I'll have to write more later. Here are a couple of pictures from the team challenge. I had to crank down the resolution to get them to upload to the forum, so they are a little grainy. The originals are much better quality. We'll figure out how to distribute good copies to those that want them at a later date.

What I wouldn't do just to be back in that weather.... I had a great time watching you guys get everything together and race.. I also had fun meeting Dan, Barb and Spence for the first time.. I can't wait for next year...

That's a friend of Scott Major's, Kieth; track time for a fast guy!!!

We were very lucky to pick up Kieth as a rider, he is super fast, smooth, and has a level head, great rider!!

Nice young man too, looking forward to racing with Keith again.
