Steve is out on the endurance race. He wants to save his bike and his energy for friday and saturday. But is willing to crew and do pitstops.

I am in although do not have much experience racing a 4cyl.. if you like I can also get Keith Marshall (the fast guy) to do it with us.

OK, well we can decide that down there.

Might be better to just do 3 riders.

Keith is in for the endurance race. He is a WERA series racer and is damn fast with many wins. He races a GSX-R600

No shit. What happened? See what I went through last time? Yesterday he said he WANTED to run the same team, I was asking because that determines if I go or not!!!

I may be going down to hang, but I could be talked into racing! If you guys need another rider.

thanks Mike, I'll pay your entry fee. I'm kinda freakin out right now, If I don't run the endurance, I don't have to be there until Sat. but I'm committed to bringing Degs and Ger's bikes down, so I have to be there by Tues. I don't do well watching when I know I could be running.
I've been through this with Steve before, so I tend to believe Scott. I had my heart set on the V-twin class because it's so easy to trophy, it may be my only chance.

Maybe we can rent his Duc for the race?

We could run 2 endurance 600's in GTO and have our own little challenge between the teams.

Dan, are you signing up for the Hammer school on Wednesday?

Yes per Steve and Lisa. Which was one big factor in why I ran Sunday. They have been calling wanting to solidify plans for Daytona, I did not want to commit and have to back out, so Sunday was my test day. That was also the day we decided for SURE when where and who.

My plan as of now is to get there Thursday 16th with my bike. I want to race HWSS, ULGP and maybe a GTO for the parctice on Friday. I can get there early Thursday to do the Challenge. If needed. I just need a place to stay.

Just for info, because we have all completed Penguin Racing school, we can take the Team Hammer Track Ride instead of the full school (Track ride is $75 less in price). The track ride is 2 hours of track time with instructors so that will be enough to familiarise us with the race track. The full school will likely just go over flags, track behaviour etc etc.

The team hammer school also includes your weekend gate fee...WOOHOO!

Steve and I have signed up for the full day Hammer school. They assured us that licensed racers still get a lot out of the class room because they go over certain things of the infield road course that just doing the track ride can miss.

I guess there is a very specific line through the dog leg that needs to be taken so you don't get punted.

Well Scott, to put it bluntly, they would!!! They get an extra $75 out of you for saying that!!

Seriously, I'm sure it will be more beneficial to do the whole school but I'm on a tight budget and I have to save every penny i can.

Just for info guys, I checked with Clear Channel entertainment and as a JUNIOR at Loudon you must race as EXPERT at Daytona. They have no Junior classification (Loudon is the only track that does as far as I know).

Change of plans for me! I am going to do the trackday at Jenning GP on Oct 25-27. This way I don't have to rush and I would rather do Jenning before Daytona to get some experience on a bigger faster track. Plus $299.00 for three days sounds better to me!
