If we believe all the rhetoric, the yamaha and Ducati "open" bikes will have the factory type motor but Honda "open" bikes will have a less capable engine..
I understand in Sepang Ducati ran both their own s/w and the spec Dorna s/w with little difference in performance....what was on the bike when ran the Third fastest time..who knows

There's a solid number of members on here who post useless bullshit on a regular basis, why give shit to a veteran member who happens to be in-the-know and is posting what little information he can? Alex owes you or anyone else on this forum NOTHING and is making an effort to stay somewhat involved with the community he grew up with, and you're going to give him shit when he does so? If he wanted to be a keyboard hero and blow his own horn regarding his connections and inside knowledge I'm sure there's a plethora of Cali forums he could do that on. By this logic, if Honda can't win, then nobody else can either. However, I do see some interesting things happening in MotoGP this year and 2015. We should certainly expect to see some satellite teams doing very well. I don't think losing 2.5 liters of fuel capacity and 3 engines will be enough to slow the Open and Factory 2 teams that do well.

According to Ezpeleta, the goal is for all teams to participate under Open Class. Well, why not just enforce that now????
