Can someone post this for me on the NEAR list.

After the Satruday riders meeting Don said we need more people to pre-reg because the lines are so big in the post reg. He said it is no dig deal to cancel your races and you can even do it the day before the race.
So I pre-reg for my races on Sunday and since it was cold and raining I went up to cancel my races since I don't want to ride in the rain. I went to the window and said "I would like to put my races for today towards anothter weekend". They told me you can"t do that the day of the event? I said Don said I could? They looked at Don and asked if it was OK for me to do it and he said "Yes". He then asked me why I'm canceling my races? He said it better not because of weather because YOU CAN'T DO THAT???? He said it has to be because of a reason not do to weather!!!! He then said I need to fill out a forum to get my money back and if I have already put my bike thur Tech I will lose a credit right off the bat.
Why didn't he say any of this during the ridders meetting?
I feel Like I hAVE BEEN FUCKED OUT OF $150 FOR 3 RACES.

I've tried three fucking times to join that pos list. Never even a reply. I think it has to do with me being in another yahoo group like 5 years ago, it never sends me a password.

    Can you tell I'm bitter?

Kip, I don't trust Don Hutchinson. First year I filled out my medical form and he still did not have it. I told him about it and he replied in a crocthety old man manner like he is; some snide remark about us riders being stupid. This from the RACE DIRECTOR! If it wasn't for us, he would be out of a job! I sent it in with the pre-reg and he had those!!

The next year he refused me moving up to juniors, thus I was fucked out of the achievement award. His excuse was I had to ask 7 days in advance, instead of waiting to ASK the DIRECTOR'S advice on what to do!

More and more I believe the riders should preassure this little "Club" of theirs' into a fully sanctioned CCS event, you know, make them play fair and by the rules instead of making shit up off the cuff. Then we would get purse money. LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD!

Who wants to change the course mid-season? Oooh, oooh, what a great idea!!!

Shit like this , is the very reason I don't think i'm gonna be renewing my liscense this season, or any other for that matter.

I have sent in for my WERA liscense though.

Yeah ahhh sorry, i made a mistake

Haha, and here's one of the replys, he mispoke at the riders meeting, what are the chances of them honering his word for those expecting to be able to cancel at the next race weekend

The unsafe track conditions could be argued any time it's wet plain and simple, that track is a mess in the rain. The rainbow colors were from gas? I doubt it, that was from the rain bringing oil back up to the surface from that huge oil spill a week before the race weekend. Besides, all gas line overflows MUST be routed into a catch can and that couldn't have been overlooked in tech inspection...

Anyway, i'll fax in my pre-reg for the season now and i'll check the weather every friday and cancel accordingly, so chances are i won't be racing anymore this season

Don told me he mispoke at the riders meeting. Yes, the rule book says Wednesday, but the new unofficial date is actually Friday.

This allows you to get to the track, sort out your bike AND yourself in Friday's Open Practice, and maybe take a guess about the approaching weather.

Cancellations on Saturday or Sunday follow the previous restrictions -- we race in the rain, allow rain tires in every class, and allow time to change if the rain comes on strongly, unexpectedly.

Re: Yeah ahhh sorry, i made a mistake

It was gasoline. I was there (like RIGHT there). I saw it spray out. We did our best to clean it up. We got the oil but the gasoline just keeps coming back after you sweep.
I agree on all other points.

    derek

I just got back from Loudon on the 22nd after a 10 day stint.
I don't know how many times I've felt like nuking Yahoo for all of the technical BS it puts me through. I can send you an invite that doesn't even require that you get a Yahoo ID. It will sign you up for the emails. Access to the files will require an ID, but for just the emails, send your desired email address to me at resthome at mindspring dot com and I'll send you an invite to sign up. Matt has it set so that he has to approve each application (I wasn't granted that power), so it might take a day or two. Don and Jerry lurk there.
