    Dangerous line?

Whats the ruling on the line while heading into the pits at 12:37? Seems a bit dangerous to me.

I wonder if he pulls all the way to the left to make a right hander on the street?

    Re: Dangerous line?

The general rule is, do not cross the racing line unless you are at racing speed.

That made me cringe. He should have been tight on the left from 11 all the way into the pit. He went from the inside curb of t11(good), to the outside curb of t11 then to the middle of the track, then to the inside of t12 then across the track in to the pits.

Total, he crossed the racing line 3 or 4 times from 12:35 to 12:44.

Without knowing everything and giving him the benefit, he may have looked back and saw no one there. We may never know.

With that said, I still don't carry who is behind me, they may not be pitting, may no have seen the flag, whatever. Do the right thing EVERY TIME. You may look back and see no one as you are half way between t10 and t11. Due to your slower speed, by the time you get to t11 someone may be planning to go around you on the outside of t11. t12 was stupid no matter how you cut it.

Wonder who. Its one of my videos. The guy with the black leathers and silver helmet is Paul Duval. He is a member here Paul_E_D This was taken at a Tonys track day.

That white suit Im in brings back some painful memories. All the scuffing on the right side is from a highside in T4

that video is from a Novice race practice this year. I didn't watch the whole thing but the rider is Tyler S., I forget his name on here and the one in the orange leather that pits in right in front of him is Mark Cusson. I know Mark said he felt like he was all over the place that weekend and it was his first races in a few years, still no excuse for that terrible pit in though. I don't know why Tyler was following like that on the way in either.

The guy that commented on his video linked to mine from a few years ago. The one of Paul (black leathers) or me (white) riding gives a good visual of what the pit in is supposed to look like. I also remember one practice Oreo was laughing at me for my pit in. It was raining and I was the only guy out there. I still did my normal pit in, including raising my hand to signal.

What?? I don't see a link, or me anywhere. I hope not to be associated with that pit in. Even though it looks to after the checkers, it's horrible.

Click on the video (not just watch it from here) and look at the comments below. Who ever commented on it uses the video of you on my bike from a few years ago to show what to do.

Aah, thanks. I had a broken rib at that time, and your bike was set for Peter. It kept punching me right in the sore rib on the transitions. I love R6s, but I hated yours that day...

    Re: Dangerous line?

I commented, but I didn't link to any video.

Last weekend a dude did a incorrect pit-in and swooped across at last second and caused a pile-up as a rider was behind him and wasn't expecting him to 'pit-in'. Guy who fucked up walked away, the innocent guy left in a helicopter.

Proper pit out and pit in everytime, no matter the circumstances!

wow... yeah... good find & I'm glad the word got passed on to the rider. Hopefully no one was behind him and that was a one time occurrence that just happened to get caught on vid.

    Re: Dangerous line?

I can't see the video from work - but I have no idea why I would have pit-in the way described. Definitely know better than that...

I typically always signal right after coming down the hill in 10... continue signaling and staying all the way to the inside (left) until pitting in.

I've had bad experiences myself being behind somebody who wasn't doing it correctly.

Hopefully, others can learn from this bad example. Sorry about that fella's.

jeez, that was kinda worrying. A tad fast through the paddock also.

I'm sure it was a 1-off and probably with full knowledge that no-one was still riding hard as it was session over, but still, rules is rules.

I know it isn't a pit-in incident but for the most part the same thing could have happened.

Nice approach to turn 3 by the Streetfighter. Never noticed that before despite seeing this video several times.

The golden rule of smooth and predictable was broken several times in that short piece of video. Sorry for both riders in the video. I'd love to know who the guy was that was passing and collided. He took off very quickly and I never got to talk to him.
