Just read through this and was laughing my ass off.
I have so many yes I'm a bit of a tard. I'll start with my last one at Palmer on Memorial Day weekend.
First day at a track this year, I need to get her ready. I work on her and get her shiny. Notice some gunk on my back rim. Won't come off so the genius I am the lightbulb goes off. My commercial auto detail tire shine will remove that. It did the trick. Went to the track the next day. Pulled in and off to tech. Its cold 55* and tech is on a hill going down. I get teched, turn, bike bogged, revv up slip the clutch, more lean and 180* spin at 5-6 MPH. I fly over the bike she highsides and snap a peg and put a hole in my perfectly new and painted bodywork plus ding my perfect tank.
BEST PART I'm one of the first guys to go through tech. There had to be at least 20 bikes lined up right in front of me. Yep good times. Wreck like an asshole, tear her up and rash all over me before I even get on track for the first time this year.

OH YA it sure was. That's not even close to the dumbest just the last one.
In 1997 April first race weekend of the year and my first race weekend ever. I'm planning on being "Rookie Of The Year" but first I need to do the rookie race in order to get a license. So on the warmup lap I decided I need to get into Steve Hacker's head,so I'll beat him in the warmup lap. Going up 4 he is a nose in front so I gas it hard. Old cold tires without tire warmers and on a ZX7r full lean. Next thing I can remember is I'm being asked if I know where I am? I'm looking at her and guessing " ahh I'm at a racetrack"? "Ahh it's in New Hampshire right "?
So needless to say that was it for my weekend and God Dam did my head hurt.
This was my first weekend at the track and I spent almost every race weekend there till 2003 so there's more I just need time to remember all or at least some. I've hit my head quite a bit.
Ohhh man. I was away from tech but I heard it & was like "Uh oh...... I know that sound."
Turned around & saw you standing over your bike with this look on your face like "Holy fuck, I'm the biggest asshole in the paddock"
Dude. So sorry. That really sucked. Everyone on the staff felt bad (but we still laughed, only cuz we've ALL been "that guy" before )

Yep at that moment I was the biggest asshole. It's not the embarrassment. I live with that everyday of my life since birth. It was me realizing why I went down. The FUCKUING tire shine goo does not dry it will only fall with gravity. Fall it did all over my back tire and then myself. Fuck.
2013. Finally have my SV setup the way I want it. At a NHMS track day. Psyche level is at 30484%. Walking bike to tech... trip over my own feet.. bike goes down. Everyone comes running to help the village clutz pick up his damned machine. Doing tech John L looks at me. "Bad news bud, your rear brake is frozen, can't pass you."
Woodcraft rearsets with the old pegs had ovaled out in the tipover. Being a track day hero I had nearly no tools. Fortunately Adam B came through with a file to butcher the peg round-ish again and get me teched and riding.
Tripped. Over. Own. Feet.
In 2013 at a Tony track day my old gsxr lost all.power going up the hill. I pull in the clutch and coast down to the bowl. I'm to the inside, terrified to move anywhere with no power my hand goes up, I pull off into the grass in turn six. I loose my footing fall over. Leave the bike and try to wave to the corner worker to let him know where I am. For a good ten minutes I got a good view of what the inside apex of six looks like. The corner worker did not notice me lol. Than it was session over and they notice. Chuck B came to my aid lol.

I was there I thought you ran out of gas. It was right after lunch correct?
One of my first race weekends... so I don't have a lot with me and I just load all my crap into the back of my truck (bike included). I was loading the bike up by myself and drive it up the ramp with a bucket as a step up for myself. As I'm driving it up and go to step on the bucket it wobbles, so I hesitate and the front wheel of the bike slides all the way to the right side of the tailgate while half on the ramp. So here I am standing on the ground with a 400+lb bike over my head sideways trying to figure out how the F*** I'm gonna fix this situation. Some random guy runs over to help me out and while climbing in the truck he catches his jeans on something and they rip wide open from his crotch to his knee lol. That was 2006 or so, if that was anyone here I owe you a beer.
Wasn't me, but at NYST with @Vovchandr I was doing something early in the morning while Vlad was back at the trailer unloading some things. I am walking back and see my bike out and the ramp into the trailer, and as I get closer I see his gsxr leaned against the side of the trailer inside and as I get closer I see he's basically pinned between it and the wall, while falling over some gear on the floor LOL. Ran over to help him pick it up laughing the entire time.
He got plenty of pictures of my lowside later, so he got me back
Both from this year.
1. Spent 10 minutes banging on my rear sprocket carrier with a dead-blow hammer because I had the cush drive rubbers installed wrong.
2. Most recent Penguin day, my first NESBC race start. Engines revving high, green flag drops, I let out the clutch...engine redlines and everyone streaks off the line...leaving me there because I was in neutral. I woulda been a contenda!

Lots of neutral start stories ITT haha. Gonna have to make sure I don't make that mistake.
I had a neutral start once. I was so angry at myself and embarassed that I passed most of the other bikes that got away from me by T6. I then realized I was riding way over my head and backed it down. Ever since then I've definitely made sure I can feel the bike move a little before the lights start. I was very grateful that everybody made it by me off the line!

I crashed on the front straight at NHMS during a track day. I was new to track riding and looking around to make sure no one was around me, then I came up fast on the instructor and panicked and grabbed the brakes. Down she goes. That was embarrassing.
Also, more recently, I've tried to load my trailer without it being hooked up to my truck, and in the process I made a trailer wheelie at the end of the race weekend.
I may or maynot have been leading follow the leader in blue group at NHMS. It was a cold day and we were trying to bring up the pace easy like to avoid first lap crashes... Well it wasn't the first lap but I may have fucked up in T1A and low sided in front of the whole crew... Needless to say I was pretty embarrassed with myself.. I picked the bike up and rode back up pit road.. By then the group had assembled and proceeded to cheer and clap loudly for my performance...
