Actually carbon carbon chemical bonds can be double bonds or in the case of Acetylene actual triple bonds

When a double bond is combined with Oxygen it will release almost 2 times the energy of a single bond found
in a normal carbon carbon single bond like Octane. It requires NO MORE oxygen to release the extra energy.

There would be higher energy fuels to buy except I am sure the Bullsh^^t would trump its real existence.

Lastly Ethanol is pre BURNT fuels designed to lower performance and increase expense and generate political kick backs

i've got a pale of 110 leaded fuel, if you wanted to give that a shot.
i was planning on trying it on the dyno to see readings & possibly use it for non-LRRS rounds.

If this is 100LL aviation gasoline, it has a lot of lead relative to gasoline intended for cars. You may risk fouling plugs.

That's always been my philosophy. Lots of uninformed people think that higher octane = more power but ironically it means "harder to ignite / slow burning"

The formal definition of octane ratings measure a fuel's propensity to resist detonation. So the higher the octane, the more resistance to detonation.
