There going to Drain and run all the water in the infield under ground. They will need to dig up parts of the chicane and what not to run big honking pipes. They had all the equipment and barriers up yesterday.

Sounds like they made a good call and have delayed tearing it up until after next weekend. I road my bike around the track yesterday and it was pretty freaky with the jersey barriers on your left going into NASCAR turn 1.

Just to add something for all of you to bear in mind. Not dealing with a chicane in NASCAR Turn 1 this time around does not preclude the possibility that you will be dealing with it at the second event. I just realized there is only one weekend between the first and second event.

Yeah, change is good. But running part of the oval would be stupid. This isn't daytona, no banking means wall impacts. YIKES!

Yeah, last time we ran tight turn 10 someone lowsided during the left hander and smacked into the nascar wall. No soft barriers. Change is fun, but let's not half ass it, I felt tight 10 was done with no regard for safety.

The left hander was done on the oval and I'd guess the apex was less than 20 feet from the wall, not that hard if you lowsided there...
