gearing and shift points for i4 600 at NHMS?

I might be taking a 600 around NHMS in the near future. I haven't ridden anything but twins for over 10 years and would like to know what I am in for.

Would any of you 600 guys share your gearing and shift points?

I don't know how much mine will vary from other(faster) riders, but here you go:
    Gearing is -1/+2, or 15/47 for my '06 R6.
I downshift 2 gears going into t1 to 3rd gear, upshift once on the back straight, then down 2 for t3, into 2nd gear. 1 upshift at t4 and another right before I crest the hill into 4th gear. I go down 1 before the bowl, then back up to 4th gear by the old treehouse, hit the rev limiter just before t9, keep it in 4th gear all the way to t11 and downshift right before I make the turn. So I'm in 3rd gear going thru t12, then up 2 gears on the front straight into 5th gear. Sometimes this varies, as I might get into 6th gear on the straight and spin it up...

    what i4 600?

The gearing for all is diff. The r6 has pretty tall gears that are somewhat close in ratio, good gearing is -1 +3 or so...

On all of em pretty much shift down 2 into 1, down 2 into 3, down 1 into 6, down 1 into 11 or something like that

If I get a good drive out of 12 and get into 5th on the straight then I go down 3 into T1 but usually just 4th-2nd. If I had the balls 3rd would be better. I've done third and it works just fine and pulls nicely either way (2nd or 3rd)out of T2. up 1 to 3rd if I wasn't already there then back down 2nd into T3. grab 3rd over the hill and keep it there all the way to T11 and down to 2nd.

I think I'm at 15/45 on my CBR.

The faster guys on GSX-R's will say 15/47 gearing. I use 15/46 this year. Last year, I had 16/46.

I find the best time to shift on the track is before the rev limiter.

Interesting. I've always gone back down to 2nd gear in the braking zone for the bowl, then shift back to 3rd gear at T7.

I used to go down to 2nd and grab third in T8. Degsy suggested trying to stay in 3rd instead. I feel like its a little faster and of course its less work. if you still have some power keeping it in third try it.

15/46 or 15/45 depending on your pace and weight.

no problem. if you find you don't have any pull there try braking less down the hill

I'm lazy and slow, but here's mine with -1/+1 gearing on a CBR.

    Up two down the straight.
    Down two into 1.
    Up one out of 2
    Down one into 3.
    Up one at 4.
    Down one into 11.
