Gen 2 SV650 power loss in the rain.

    Hey guys,
Yesterday at NHMS I was out during one of the wet races and my motor lost any power it had. Limped it into the pits... I've found some info online about a clogged drain for the front cylinder. Is there a remedy for this once I clean out the drain? Any sort of... shield?
    Thanks!

Clean out drain and replace the plug cap... be sure the seal is in place the best it can be. Plug caps seem to be a pretty regular failure in the rain. I tried to have a spare for Sam's SV

So what you're saying is, he can run it against R3s and RC390s?

CCS single cylinder blind spot gets you into just about every class other than anything Supersport, Supertwins, or Formula 300. You can run Ultralight 300 but your points will not count for the ROC in Daytona as you'd exceed the 310cc limit on singles in Ultralight Thunderbike.

Yes, but that little flap doesn't do enough if it's wet enough. Water can still get through the radiator (and around the flap) and down onto the front plug.

What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
