I could use a hand getting this FZR 400

back together. I will be in center 6 with the pile of parts. I have one engine and two rolling frames for parts.

I have the head out getting reconditioned and the cylinder honed. I would like to get the engine back together friday night. Shouldn't be tough to install the cylinder and the head and get it buttoned up.

Sat after racing get the engine in and exhaust on and it running. Then swap front ends off the race bike on to this one. Flush brake fluid, mount body work test out on TTD's monday and tuesday. Race it in vintage on sat.

That is the plan if all the stars are aligned! I am confident it will run.

So if anyone would like to give a hand I will not say no.

Back to the way Loudon was before everyone had a fancy R6 race program. We raced RAT bikes. The grid looked like a scene from Mad Max.

The hawk (and I) will be there starting on Thursday evening if you are around and want to get started. I definitely plan on turning some wrenches on it this weekend and I'd be glad to have the master there to make sure I'm not doing anything stupid.

My bikes were never rats, the KTM had a busted exhaust rocker I didn't know about but otherwise was solid, and the GS was about as clean as they got other than my spray bomb job on one spot of the tank to prevent rust from a couple scrapes. Everything was tight, wired properly and clean. No gasket compound required anywhere, no hacked brackets held on with hose clamps, etc.

Even my WR, despite having some UUUUUUUGLY plastic and that fabulous purple spraybomb frame is not a rat anymore.

TLDR: Yeah, I did take honest offense at that, I shouldn't, but I did.

We have crew chief/manager covered. That is Jim Folans job. He reads the torque specs out of the manual and keep an eye on things. he runs a tight ship. He makes sure I don't fuck shit up.

You can however drink Christians girl beers.
