    Help EX 500 tank needed

I am trying to get to the track this weekend and went out to load the van and went into the shop to find my ex race bike sitting in a pool of fuel , it appears that the tank has decided to give up ship and started leaking at the seam. It already had a liner in it so I need to find a replacement. can any one help? If I can locate one I'll head up but otherwise I'll have to sit this one out while I find another tank.

I THINK I've got one in my basement but if I do it's in rough condition. Dunno if it'll be of any use but it's yours for free if you want it. Gonna be at the track this weekend?

I have one in my attic. It's off a former Penguin bike. The prior owner had started to use the Penguin bike as a parts bike for his other EX that I bought from him. I believe he said the Penguin bike was was in running condition when he started to disassemble it. So I imagine the tank is good ... at least it looks good, but I have never tested it or looked at it real closely. I am at work now and won't be able to look at it until around noon - 1pm 'ish. I can just throw it in the trailer and bring it up this evening. I should be arriving at the track between 6pm - 9pm tonight.

Well I cleaned up the bottom of the tank and it had a pin hole in it , went to the parts store and got some JB weld for fuel tanks and tried it . has got gas in it now with no leaks. Now if this rain will stop I can load up and head up in the morning hopefully. Thanks guys and I will try and catch you in the AM about the tank. Mine is holding but if there is a better one out there I would feel alot better about it

Well the rain kept me away. I would have gone up had I knew for sure that I would have had a usable tank and wouldn't have had to sleep in a tent with the rain. I'll just have to prep for the Sept. weekend. It will give me time to get a good tank for the bike , and do some more smalls that should be done .
