i think, realistically, if you radar gunned greenwood in a turn on a 600 or 1000 and doucette on a SV in the same turn, i bet that their MPH would be very close. its the acceleration of the 600/1000 that makes the lap time difference between the 2
Isn't that exactly what I said??? The rythm of an ex500 combined w/top end of r6 meant like carrying good corner speed and a good flow thru the turns, and then also having the speed from hp. My whole point is that I was slowing down too much or "parking" it in the turns, and that I've been learning... Basically saying that guys like Greenwood are the ones who can really take advantage of a mw, and until a person learns enough, an ex500 will do them just fine into the low 20's.

Why would a guy who has only been riding a streetbike for 2 years and is able to show up to the track w/zero track experience and beat 10-15 other people 3 separate times need an excuse for anything??? I'm fucking joking w/Jimmy about why he was able to pass me.

I wasn't even trying to be competetive last season, and I stated that a long time ago... just wanted to ride the track and I can't do weekdays. If I can get my bike in shape for the track, I'll make 2012 the season that I'm actually competing. Why do you think I'm not afraid to race w/out health insurance? No danger when you ain't pushin' it

Does that also mean that the guys surrounding you are also "Not pushing it" because Brian doesn't have health insurance?

I'm not a racer, nor am I a track day rider, however the absolute lack of responsibility is staggering.

Perhaps if there wasn't a single person in my life who relied on me to be there, as a husband, father, support figure, family bread winner, etc then perhaps I would freely enjoy life without considering how an accident would affect others.

I agree with JV. Ask fitz about his race injury. It happened while he was standing in the grass with his race bike waiting for the crash truck. Then the crash truck hit him and pinned him between his bike and the wall. Idk how many surgeries he's needed but I'm fairly certain he wasn't pushing it standing still and the crash truck certainly wasn't trying to set a lap record.

Exactly. So why do you constantly make excuses? Even that was one giant excuse.
