Watched this crash from the bowl...it was absolutely terrifying.

She looked safe with everyone going on the inside of her...until the last guy who came up on her. Straight at her and then made it to the outside at the absolute last second. Terrifying.

he also caught the second half of Brian Killmeier's highside in 4. I'm gonna tiptoe through corners he's shooting from now on.

so far as I know, that is the case. She seemed pretty shaken up when I got there, but relatively ok.

Re: Arcy catches the Devil in action

Ugh.....you can see that one coming a mile away. Obviously carrying some speed and hanging way off & not using her outside leg to support her body weight at all. This forces weight onto the inside bar no matter how gentle you think you are being, and then you add throttle (unweighting the front) and you see the result. Hope everyone is OK...I know that feeling of just waiting for the tumbling to stop, not fun.

    +1 Eric.

I'm guessing the outside foot slipped off the peg.

Ive never got a hug but Rob and Gino did pick me up out of the tires in turn 1 a few years back when my bike decided to surf me in.

I wish I knew who picked me up in 12 during the classic weekend after I went down and Jake smashed my helmet with his front wheel. I was a little dazed at the moment.

Just assume it was Keira and the next time you see her, give her a big hug

Glad Kat's okay. She seemed to exit the track in proper manner. Stayed low and got off ASAP. Though I'm not sure if going to the right (on the racing line) or exiting on the left (away from racing line) would be best. Any feedback? I think most ppl tend to go the shortest distance off when they are shook up.

I think its all in how dazed you are after the crash. Ive had some where Ive gotten right up and grabbed my bike and others like Kat had where it took a moment or two to figure out what had happened. I think when you see dirt you go for it. The normal response seems to be get up and run out of there which could cause more problems especially if youre unlucky enough to get hit by an on coming bike. She did a pretty good job staying low until she was off.

Re: Arcy catches the Devil in action

    Hey everyone,

    Gino, cute thread title....

Well I am fine, nothing major to me or the bike. Just some ligament damage to my right wrist. But I've injured that wrist before so no big surprise to me. Bike just needs couple of new pieces and a fresh coat of paint. Wasn't too shaken up after the crash until I noticed a rider went around the backside of me and he was really close to me legs. So I picked them up as he went by. Later that day, Arcy (thank you for the photos), stopped by and said "good thing you were paying attention because he was going over you legs if you didn't lift up." Now that shook me up a bit.

Looking through those pics, the crossed up body position, I remember at that point there was an "oh fuck, this is going to be bad" moment. Then crash. Thanks Eric for the advice, I'll keep a mental note on that while riding next time. Gino, I did have some foot slippage during that race...Hoping that was some of the issue...but who knows. I don't want to make excuses for my crashing.
I am not sure it is a good thing that I know most of the corner workers but it is nice to get up and see someone I know. Keira, Rob and the Milf machine.

Sadly, that was my last race of the season (unless I can figure something else out), I hate to end the season that way. But it's necessary, I don't want to crash anymore on that bike or crash like that and have some other rider crash cause of my mistakes. And for me to make that F3 competitive, I have to spend money that I don't want to. So for next year, I'll be riding a SV in the Lightweight class Looking forward to learning some new stuff. Middleweight Class!! This is not the last time you will see me on a 600. I'll be back when I can afford a newer R6 and when I am better rider.

So after saying that, I will still be up at the track the last two race weekends. So if anyone needs a pit bitch for the weekend or any kind of help (unpacking, packing up, umbrella chick stuff...) I am pitted in T1a or riding around the pits, if you want some help come find me I'd be happy to lend a hand. Might do some corner working too.

    -Kat
