Do you need to wire it to the bikes electronics etc or is it just batteries and velcro on?

Either way... Runs off of a 12v hardwire or slim lithium batteries... same as in your car remote. Probably cr2025..

I'd really be interested in playing with the gps-rw model to understand what the mapping software provides. Any local dealers?

    Thanks,

If you guys are serious, I'll look into the possibility of starting a dealer relationship with them. If they will sell them to me at a dealer price then we can do a group buy thing.

Isn't this thing a little overkill for anyone but the double-digit racers? It is pretty cool though.

Roland (rolker) made his own GPS setup that he ran at some track days, looked pretty cool. Maybe he could chime in on how to make a cheap one

Noel you get me that shock uber-cheap yet?

    Re: Holy lap timer Batman!

    Definitely overkill.

That being said, the SV I purchased didn't come with any gauges or indicators. Before the season starts this year I was looking to add a shift light, tachometer for launching, and a gear indicator since the SV shifts so different than my zx6r. We also noticed that this SV runs hotter than other SV's at LRRS. How not? Not sure. I'm not really concerned with the speedometer function. Not to mention I could easily unbolt this and swap it onto my zx6r for spirited rides.

I'm legitimately interested depending on what the prices is. Like I said, I need a solution for all the above before season starts.

    Thanks,
    Fitz

Cheesh....most of the bikes a lot of us ride are overkill...

if you don't want one cus it's overkill for you, fine!

....let the rest of us poseurs decide for ourselves, eh!

I'd be curious what price a 'group buy' would get us.

And, for me, the Base one is fine....the others are definately overkill
