Really? Poor little bergy? 'Henry' can be nice as pie, but it seems he carelessly cut off bergs, and did it bad enough that he was concerned for his safety and his kid's. The kicker is he can come here to find out who did it. Furthermore from Johnny's response, he apparently cut off someone in a black truck as well. I don't see how it's applicable if he has neat bikes, or you like his personality. Pay the fuck attention and drive like a responsible grown up so people don't get hurt.
Of course another member of the "grumpy old men" club is gonna chime in here.
I'm not defending the alleged bone headed move that Bergs experienced on the highway, I'm just trying to balance the negative picture being painted of the alleged perpetrator of said bone headed move.
Grumpy? My world is full of unicorns shitting butterfly filled rainbows every minute of everyday.
Quick to hop on that bandwagon, don't you think, Roland? Nothing new was said by me since your last post in this thread so I'm not even sure why you would say something like this in the first place.
Further, I was curous if this person was on the forum, asked in the first post then later on in the thread reiterated the issue I had with poor driving habits which had the potential to affect my daughter. I don't expect all of you to understand and clearly most of you in this thread don't.
As far as this Henry guy, have any of you fact-checked any of this? Probably not.
I don't care WHO it was, I stand by my statements regarding shitty driving and in that time have accused no one other than the person driving that white transit van on Friday....yet here some of you are defending a guy that I haven't even remotely accused.
Typical par-for-the-course forum stupidity.
You must LOVE the smell of your own farts, don't you...
Now I know where Gino got the panties from.
If you would have started with the first part of your initial post, leaving out the reason you wanted to identify him until later, that would have been much cooler in my book. Assuming you would have identified the person, you could have opted to contact him to discuss the "incident" in private, or discuss the the issue publicly if he was indeed a member here.
In contrast, by providing enough identifying info and your version of the incident, you planted the seed to let the wisdom of the NESR community bash a fellow rider without the "defendant" being present, or even aware.
I do understand why you are upset about the situation, I just don't fully agree with your chosen approach to dealing with the situation.
Exactly, that is why I'm sharing my impression of this Henry guy. It doesn't matter if it was him or not, people are going to read this thread and assume it was. I don't think it's fair to a fellow local racer that his only mention on this forum is that he allegedly cut you off on the road.
We all experience our share of shitty driving, it's part of life here and it will take much more that complaining about it in a forum to solve the problem.
As for defending him, I'm merely sharing my positive on track experience with Henry, not defending whoever cut you off. Everyone does something stupid once in a while, but that shouldn't be the only thing that defines a person. Unfortunately, this thread would define vintage racer #43 solely as an idiot on the highway if I hadn't chimed in.
Yeah, you knew where you were posting this, yet you posted anyways! I know you're smart enough to know how this thread could have devolved!
Oh, sorry about the "poor little bergy" part, that was a bit under the belt. We cool? :drink:
No. I'm still pissed at you. I don't why, though.
Probably cuz you're adorable.
Roland,
If I really wanted to know who it was, I would have simply taken the 1/2 hour ride to the track. I was done with this thread once I knew the driver was not on the forum. Mr Butler posted up earlier today and, well, you know the rest of the story.
Pete and Chuck, on the other hand, might need bigger keyboards when reality strikes

I can count to potato.
That reminds me, who's the idiot I saw driving on 106 Sunday evening towing bikes with "expert" 110 plates??? :poke:
Moving onto vague threat-like statements now?

There are other ways to handle it, but I'd rather have someone bitch about me on an internet forum vs other oprions. He could have taken the plate number and filed a report....or returned the favore and cut him off as well, etc, etc
Maybe someone should send this guy a link to the thread, so he can defend himself? Lets face it, shitty drivers are often so used to driving shitty, they don't even know they drive shitty. Maybe the guy can learn something:scratchhead:

Wasn't me. I was only on 106 for less than a mile.Quote:

This thread has redeeming social value due to the creativity of insult and sly humor in responses. I give it 3.5 stars.
DucDave and I are old and have hair growing out of ears instead of the tops of our heads. We're grumpy because we had to walk to school uphill both ways in knee deep snow while carrying a .22 pistol to kill rattlesnakes.
You guys aren't even baby boomers - you're barely middle aged and all your body parts still work as designed. From this thread it appears the echo boomers are going to establish a new standard of online cuntiness.
You all see how people drive these days. Driving craftsmanship is completely dead and I'm more surprised when I see someone signal well in advance and make a smooth, well-synchronized lane change than anything less.
Yesterday I watched a five series BMW driver swerve from the left hand lane of I95 south to the exit for Route 1 with no signal and a cell phone in his right ear - he didn't even look to see if anyone was there! There's a "Dear Neon Driver" thread in the NE regional forum of NASIOC that is over 60 pages long. The standards for obtaining a drivers license are about as low as they can get.
Plan accordingly.
Guess you missed the old school hand turn signal. No need to use the blinker if you use a hand signal. right
Bitcher Burgs? :spit:
Man, you breeders get all uptight.
