Read the rule blips again, note they all say single cylinder is exempt from production / street use requirements or frame is open. I've been over this with Eric Kechler before. Unaltered VIN means you can't put one on the Kramer if it doesn't have one to begin with, but it doesn't require a VIN be present.

Edit: This is partially why I was hoping my motard would have done better, legal for everything I care about sans ULGP would have made it a great back up bike.

If I had to replace the FZR, it's one of the few bikes that has my curiosity piqued as the next in line.

They are very cool bikes. And well setup from the get go. plus you can custom order them painted in your teams colors. Should be quick at Loudon. heck they where fast at NJ and Barber....To bad my 401k is meant for other things.

It's pretty fair for what you're getting. Turn key race bike. Not that I have that change my any means, but if I was looking for a bike like that I'd certainly consider it.

Yes but we’ve been here before. How many club racers actually go buy a new bike and build it out? I know some do, but they’re the exception not the rule. Most people spend $5-10k on a 5-10 year old R6 that someone else built.

That said, if I had $20k to burn I’d probably spend it on this.

0% apr financing for qualified buyers through factory financing.

    Now that would be dangerous...

For 5k extra you get dual front rotor, quickshifter, steering dampener, and some paint.

    Worth it?

I think its a cool bike. Curious what happens if you crash one.

...and forged OZ wheels, plus a slightly higher state of tune.

They have a well proven crash record.

    You cry!

    You open your wallet!

You wait for replacement parts unless you have a good spares collection set up.

I would take a setup EDR bike over that any day.............. just not enough rider setup and feed back to race

Missed the wheels. I'd say that puts the needle over the line of "worth it" but I think I'd personally save my 5k.

Are parts unobtanium, or is it a hodge podge of other manufacturers OEM parts?

KTM Parts; RC8 fork and shock, 690 Duke wheels, LC4 engine

Kramer specialty parts; frame, rear subframe (which is a poly unit and serves as a 3.5 gal fuel tank,) bodywork, I assume swing arm, and I assume rearsets.

Most of the other items are off the shelf parts.

That doesn't sound so bad to be honest. I'm not in the market, but I can understand why some would be.
