    I'M A SHOE IN!!!

Any idea why he's done? Something specific that came up or is it just time?

Suspect it was just time. Believe he was trying to sell two of his supersport bikes last winter, so he was already downsizing even then. (I bought the more beat up one -- you may have seen me at TTDs incompetently riding a heavily used SV with a number 6 peeling off the tail).

Rick's an incredibly nice guy to buy a bike from BTW. He's also a bit eccentric -- insists that an SV gets along just fine with the stock rear shock (although you must swap the dogbone), and that the key to improving the front suspension is to use engine oil in the forks instead of fork oil. I thought he was joking but he insisted he was serious.

Unfortunately his bike seems to be a lot slower when I'm riding it. Maybe I need to wear an Elvis costume...

Man, that's epic, Rick has been racing as long as I've been going up there (1996). I remember M.Stone telling me "dude you gotta see this guy Rick, he looks like some wise-guy from Long Island but he fucking honks out there!"

Here's to all the great races Rick, thanks for the show.

    -alex434

ps: I loved gridding up with Rick during the 2007 Supermoto race at the Classic (I actually qualified ahead of him). I remember going 'hot damn up on the grid with the big dogs!'. Good fun!
