sounds like the last thing i'd want going on while on the track. not to mentiont he risk of wrecking your phone if you crash. and yes, it was mentioned already by Buzz Killington on here (also known as Garandman)

Discrete lap timers: so 20th century.... But for the speeds I'm travelling, I just look at the sun.

XT is also making a GPS lap timer and track mapper with data acquisition channels called GPX Pro. Pretty cool, and should be for 7 bills!
