Hey, I'm also planning on racing for the first time this weekend. Since I'll do Penguin on Friday, I plan on arriving Thursday evening. How do I avoid setting up in someone's "regular" spot? I suspect many of these are next to the power sources?

Should I look to pit close to the Media Center, where I assume the Penguin classroom stuff will take place? Or, should I find where the other GP bikes pit and setup close to them so I can be surrounded by people that rebuild their engine on a daily basis?

I'll appreciate any advice and guidance from those wishing to help a new racer navigate his first race weekend!

For Penguin on Friday, you can set up in the Penguin garage(same garage we use for Tony's), after that, you'd have to move to the infield.

I'll be up there Thursday night, pitted along the fence between T2 and T3. I'll keep an eye out for you, if you need help with anything on Friday, let me know.

ECK has been setting up right next to the access gate over by T11... Not sure if we're staying there but chances are good. Hope to see ya there

Great, with this great memory of mine, I'll show up there thinking "Ok, I remember something about north 10, was I supposed to setup there or not...". Well, I'll counter you fist shake with a "oops, my bad" shrug!

This is a tough place...the key is to find the first guy to look you in the eyes and PUNCH HIS NECK, from there your rep should be safe for a bit.
