This. Takes a special kind of person to want to go solely to see bikes and listen to bench racing. I'm not speaking as a track rep, but I know it's something they are working on.

It would be nice to do a little self-marketing. I've got to believe if we set up a tent with a couple of race bikes and some info at one of the Bike nights, like in Lowell, we'd get a lot of interest. Hire a couple of Umbrella Girls and we'd probably get 20 more racers a weekend. Just a thought. I'd volunteer at the info booth.

You'll need to also hypothesize that no one cares.

Not "no one", but the percentage of non-Nascar racing fans will always be small. However, a large percentage of this remaining slice will get excited about any kind of close racing. LRRS, karts, SCCA all race at NHMS, are all under the radar and would benefit from more promotion.
