So as I strolled over to last round's rider's meeting I was all self-satisfied for putting engine ice in my bike right beforehand.
In the meeting though, I *think* the official (was that Graham / xsilicone kid?) said that propylene glycol was not allowed, and that only water or water/water wetter was allowed? I couldn't hear too well and want to make sure I'm not mixing up my diol's here...
All I could find in the rulebook is that a list of approved coolants is available at tech...
Per the people selling the stuff: "Engine Ice hi-performance coolant is legal in CCS and ASRA road racing and permitted at many tracks around the world."
So I suppose that it could be NHMS or LRRS specifically that gave it the thumbs down....
I just want to make sure I heard correctly before I drain $50 worth of coolant out of my system.
Also, let this post serve as a reminder to people that if you have a "non-approved" coolant in your bike, on top of the small chance of crashing and being the d-bag that spills slippery stuff all over the track, at the next round there's a somewhat higher chance that you get picked for a random coolant spot-check during tech.
