All I could find in the rulebook is that a list of approved coolants is available at tech...

Per the people selling the stuff: "Engine Ice hi-performance coolant is legal in CCS and ASRA road racing and permitted at many tracks around the world."

So I suppose that it could be NHMS or LRRS specifically that gave it the thumbs down....

I just want to make sure I heard correctly before I drain $50 worth of coolant out of my system.

Water Wetter and Maxima Cool-Aide are the only two. ASRA and CCS allows the Engine Ice, but LRRS and WERA do not. Anything that contains ethylene glycol or propylene glycol is not allowed.

I used NHIS tap water from the infield the night before my rookie race.

I did that a few weeks ago. Just drained it, there was a very slight rust tinge. Better than I expected!
