pretty sure this was specifically about me. because of my CCS entries, they bumped me to Expert. But my LRRS lap times werent near the 110% lap time yet.

well as you saw on Facebook, the CCS website listed me as advancing to Expert for 2015 because of the CCS points i got. Then officials reviewed my lap times at LRRS rounds, and I'm not quite at the Expert pace yet. Two days later, this thread gets posted. It could be coincidental, but i'm sure my situation was one of the reasons this was brought up.

Advancement based upon performance has been in the works for a while. Jim's situation raised the question to CCS about their advancement rules.....Discussions are ongoing. LRRS firmly believes performace criteria is the basis for advancement. Collecting a zillon points in either Novice, Amateur, or Expert classes is a great way for recognition and set goals within each class.

structure back when was:
Amateur --> today Novice
Junior --> today Amateur
Expert --> today Expert

Don modified the rider class names and plate/number colors to be more in alignment with CCS, particularly for the ROC. Kevin Elliot was putting our Juniors in the Expert grids because he assumed our "Amateurs" were like their Amateurs.

We are, but in the end CCS issues the licenses. So they announce LRRS advancements based on our input.

Hey, I retired being faster than Pete. Therefore, I'm still faster than Pete. And if he was in 2nd place for the year, logically that means I was first since there was only one ranking available that was faster than him.

Looking for a little clarity on request to bump . I run middle weight and did 1:17.9 and backed it up with a 1:17.7 last round . Is that enough to bump ?? Rule say 's 1:17 .

If you'd like to bump, you can document your perf history as evidence and send the request in any time. The worst that can happen is they'll say no for now.

Not to mention, racing with faster people makes you go faster. Fact!
