    LRRS championships clinched?

Alright, don't get your panties in a bunch. Just to clear things up.

    1. I put my time in at Loudon, as an amateur, junior and expert.
    2. I was probably one of the most vocal campaigners for the cause of the novice up there. Even when I was an expert, as people here on NESR will attest to, I challenged LRRS on many fronts where I saw unfair treatment of novices (amateurs back then). You are probably reaping the benefits of that to this day without even knowing it (hint: how long are your practice sessions?).
    3. I (as an NESR rep) offered cash prize money for races at Loudon, on the stipulation that the prizes were only for amateur (novice) classes. LRRS said I could only offer prize money in expert classes. I declined.
    4. While I will absolutely agree that the Novice/junior acheivment award is a great thing for you to have achieved, I still maintain that a novice championship is null for this reason: The fastest riders advance, eliminating themselves from the "championship".

Imagine if there was an "EXPERT MLB league". Halfway through the MLB season, as teams get better and better records and averages, they start to move up to the 'expert MLB' and out of the plain old MLB. Who would end up world series champs? Tampa? Would they deserve it? Absolutely not, because all the competition moved up to the expert leagues.

I admire your achievement, I really do, but it is what it is, nothing more. I just want you to see it for what it is - a stepping stone on the way to racing against the top riders in your club, and possibly being one one day.

....and too many of you are being negative about your chances in the expert ranks. Until you move up there, you don't know if you can do 15s 14s 13s or whatever. You'll never do it in the amateur ranks because you don't have the right motivation (opponents on the track). I bet many of you would be pleasantly surprised at how much your times can get better just by racing against the Greenwoods and Woods of this world, I know mine did.

good luck for the rest of the season..................

..........and pull the sand out of your vagina.

Dolla Bill, don't compare our experiences with the Expert EX racers with any other classes. They are a cut above. AM guys too. Hell, even NV's.

I was running first place in AM points for a while this season. Would I bump if I won it? Probably, but I would of only had 8 races. Would that of been something to applaud? No, I don't race in the "big boy" classes.

The way I choose to see it is this. I've been nailing hard fought 2nd places since mid season. The racing has been great and I've been trying to be a courteous smooth competitive racer. If I'm still doing this 3 years from now, I'll be happy as a pig in shit. This is the most fun I can imagine without killing a hooker and it doesn't matter to me in the end, as long as I'm racing close to someone and not just pickin off 1st places again and again like the end of my NV season.

Chris, don't worry about it. You ride very well and you are the fastest AM. That counts for a LOT.

thanks bud unfortunately i don't think i'm eligible for rookie of the year because i started in august last season. I've been told a number of different things, like you had to be NV/AM/EX in the same year, then i was told it was most points accumulated in your first full season, but i think you're only eligible for ROTY the season you take your rookie race.

and you're welcome sax haha, congrats on the trophies!....but dont assume it was because i moved up....you're haulin ass out there.

No one can take this away from me! No one ! This is better than any of my trophy finishes that year. 13 races 1 DNF

If I had planned on racing 3-4-5 races a weekend and I had the index and # of races I would have bumped up. That is the name of the game. For others get it and move on.

Chris, I have taught you well. Yea right, you did it all yourself. I wish I could have seen your ULSB races. Glad to see the 19 year old HAWKS are still running strong and thanks for keeping it within the group. Don't even think about switching to something else.
See you all next weekend and all you winners in February.

Congrats Gman, I have a lot to learn from you. You think you have it tough. Try being 20hp less than you.

And congratulations to all "CHAMPIONS" and to everyone else that had a successful year.

YOu think they give a 5th place runner up champion plaque for Novice PTwins? Cause I might be able to get that. I might have to call up LRRS and give them hell if they dont, I earned that 5th place!
