    LRRS fees

Am I reading this email right...camping is $25 per day?

So $50 a weekend plus $25 gate fee if you're spectating or doing 1-2 races per weekend?

The average budget racer in a garage will go and bring a child/girlfriend/wife and now asked to spend $100 a weekend for their gate fee, camping & power. Seems like a deal breaker for many.

Sounds like a good strategy to empty out the infield, if this is the case.

I think the highest CCS rates for a tent is NJMP which is $5/day.

    LRRS fees

You beat me to it... I don't understand where the justification for this extreme price hike came from.
Seriously, $25 a night to sleep in my car? You're kidding me right?
For $5 more a night I can stay at a campsite down the road which has all sorts of camping amenities. (Is NHMS building a pool for us?)

    Re: LRRS fees

Jesus Christ.... EVERY FUCKING YEAR it's all "FIRE, FIRE!!! THE SKY IS FALLING!!!" across the entire internet.

As I understand it, it's $25 per camping spot (not per person) and it includes electricity.
If you're paying for a garage, this fee is waived (as clarified by Brenda below)
If you're not in a garage, $350 for a camping season pass and you're good all year for LRRS and USCRA events.

    From Brenda Leonard:

    "Hello to all!
Because I have already had some questions regarding the email that was sent I wanted to add a few things. The $25 flat rate for camping does include electricity. If you have a garage you will not have to pay for camping for the event weekend, only if you are going to stay Thursday night for practice on Friday."

We could ice ride. Which would require actually showing up to ice ride.

Camping and electric fees aside, I'll be fairly displeased if I'm getting charged a camping fee for sleeping at my house.

I only hope that shit gets sorted once and for all.

You're right. It doesn't say that in the email. But it should, because it is. See the quote I posted above from Brenda. I'll go bold that part for you.

Once an LRRS racer always an LRRS racer. 1 round or 7.

That includes the obligatory pissing and moaning that all LRRS racers are entitled to.

Chipper, I think there is still some requirement to have race at least once over the last five years ;-)

I have 2 questions and I'm note sure if this group are the people to ask or if Brenda is however:

    1. If a sponsor of mine has reserved the garage how does my name get on that list? I'm a noob so this may be a trivial question.

    2. If I go up Thursday night to stay for all the Friday schools I plan to attend do I'll have to pay $25 to stay that night? Sounds it so I just might be heading up very early Friday morning. That puts a damper on my plans.

    1. Unclear at this time... The garage reservation form asked for a list of "names" of who would be occupying the garage. Officially garage reservation forms aren't due until March 4. Last year there was an assumption that there were 4 spots / garage. There wasn't a "limit" to the list of names this year, but I don't know what that means...
    2. Yes, as I understand it, there will be a $25 charge for Thursday night. I don't know if this might change for Thursday open test days, but I doubt it.

    Re: LRRS fees

If you're renting a garage, when they say "are you camping?" either say "no" or "I'm renting a garage".

Same as how it has always been.

Garage "owner" submits names & gets vehicle passes (4?). Keep it on your dashboard. (I've never bothered with it and never had issues)

Whoever submits the garage rental form has to list the names of all riders pitting in it.

It appears that camping Thursday night is $25, regardless of who you are.

You can stuff as many people as you want into a garage, but you only get four parking passes and four 'spots' to fight over for parking officially. Sadly, we had an issue with this last year...

You could always just move the offending vehicle/trailer.Worked for me.
Unless you meant me. In which case, Back off Man! I was the goddamn face of center 15! So what if I can't park, have many ugly bikes, and make noise all night??

Thanks for the clarifications guys. Gonna make sure I'm on that list then.

Looks like it could be some early mornings for me then. I do have a buddy who lives in Barnstead which puts me closer however I don't want to be a burden. We'll see how it all plays out cause I gotta do those schools if I want to pass anyone.

    Re: LRRS fees

Jason, do you remember adding names to last years' application like this? I remember some (very, very minor) complications at R1 getting the passes. They would only release them to the person who'd rented the garages. I wonder if the long list of garage mates is an attempt to smooth that out.

But yeah. Do as Oreo does. Show up. "No thank you, I'm in a garage." Drive up to your garage. Try not to park like too much of a dick. Say hello to the neighbors and enjoy your weekend. It's pretty simple, actually.

    Re: LRRS fees

No, there were no names of people in the garage on the application last year. The names are new for this year.

Last year, they did *require* that the person who was "responsible" for the garage pick up the laminated pass thingies (or at least that person to contact them to ask them to release them to someone else).
