Way nice.
And you're right about that 1.2 being a sneaky bastardly device once the sun goes down. Everyone be aware: Marco's camera takes pictures in the frickin' DARK.

I have held back from looking at these until now....they're awesome as expected
So bummed not to have made it. I was up until 2-3 Friday night putting my bike back together...everything was good to go or so I thought. Put it all together, turn the fuel on and the carb starts pissing fluid through the overflow. Unjam the float, now it starts pissing out of the fuel line fitting. Carb back off, somehow manage to stop that leaking, put the carb back on.
Start kicking and kicking and kicking and kicking. Bike won't start, keeps on flooding. Plug is soaked everytime. Check the spark, its got it. Try new gas, no dice. Re-check the valves (fully re-built head), they're perfect as expected. Check the timing, it's still dead on. I had enough, way to frustrated, not diagnosing a carb problem that late at night while damn near passing out from breathing gas fumes all night. Couldn't even bring myself to go to the track. Spent the weekend on my bicycle and hiking instead, worry free.
I'll be in San Fran next race weekend so that's a no-go, so hopefully I can figure this out for September. I've thrown just way way way way way too much money at racing this year to only have finished 1 race in last place.
Other life commitments, and especially work, are getting in the way. Just not my year.
If anyone has a working crf450 carb I can try out to get this thing running and help diagnose this issue, let me know.
If I eventually get this thing running correctly, don't be surprised if you see my 250 for sale and a thread trying to trade motard for dirt parts.
