Looks like I've got a '01 GSXR-1000 front end for sale.... fully built by GMD WITH adjustable triples. That is, if I wanna be P-89 eligible....

Is that coming off the viffr, or something else?

It's not really ON the viffer yet, the triples are sort of mocked up but I have a complete front end: Forks, wheel, GMD triples, Braketech rotors, OEM calipers (6-pots) and clip-ons.

I have the stock OEM Showa fully adjustable non-USD forks sitting in the basement, which I may as well start cleaning up.... anyway, I'll get a FS thread goin' once I can catalog everything...

Yeah, pretty much completely wrong .... but it's OK.

The whole point of this was to open up more opportunities for Novices. They can now run 3 races (inluding the rookie 4 lap race) on Saturday and two on Sunday - way better than 2011.

Some but not all. Pretty sure the motors are illegal for the class. Other than that my bike seems to fit (if they allow wave rotors). Too bad I doubt I will be racing at all this year.

ROOKIE RACE: New program! It's back on Saturday as the first race. It is now 4 laps. Here is the real new part: Instead of having Mike Martire, or another Expert, start as wave 1, we are going to allow up to 4 rows (16 bikes) of Novices to be the first wave. The class will be noted as "ROOKIE RACE" on the entry forms, and since it is only 4 laps it will be half priced. It's a great opportunity to get more track time and a practice start to get things going for the weekend. There are no trophies/certs for this one and bikes will be gridded acording to size in the first wave. (ALL bikes together, big bikes in the front and small bikes in the back). The second and third waves will be the two real Rookie Race classes, as always.

Seems like if you add p-89 to the AM and EX (Practice 6-7) things are really going to be busy in an already busy environment. Maybe I'll just bump down to ULSB for more room. If not I'm hoping the time of the sessions will be any shorter.

I'm sure some out of out-of-towners may miss a session if they don't know things are combined. If this was my first time at LRRS I would think they are all separate sessions.

If every other bike had a bottom end that was built to run twice the HP of the bike reliably, there would be no belly pan rule for anyone, now would there?

I was thinking the same thing. Lowerish displacement and older technology might make for varying time differences.

i saw some vintage guys running 125's and 126's on 77 rd400.. not thats the norm
