    New LRRS rules for 2005

Helmet numbers are something passed down from CCS. We were made aware of it at the Mucky-muck meeting last January.
Another rule effective this year is that you will have to show a picture ID at registration. Clear Channel got hit with a big lawsuit from a "Stunta's" surviving family. They claimed that the signature on the release wasn't that of the deceased, so from now on, picture ID.
The new rider classes will allow the former Juniors to race with the Amateurs at outside of the region events and the ROC. We discussed just switching the names around a year or two ago, but Kevin Elliot said that by being in the same race as the Experts, they were gaining an unfair advantage, so they were still considered Experts. Running Novices with Amateurs satisfies his conditions. The only possible downside is staying with the Novices, but hell, y'all will be brushing up on your "dealing-with-the-backmarkers" skills at an earlier stage of your development.

If the stickers don't come in in time, would a white peice of duct tape with your number drawn on with a perminent marker be ok?

    Cool, thanks for the help

I have another question on a rule for this year, and i've heard different answers to how it has to be done..
For the brake pad pin that has to be safety wired, does the pin have to be drilled and the wire run through it or can the plug that covers the hole be drilled and wired? On my bike, the plug would have to be removed to remove the pin that holds the pads in.
    Thanks again

Perkins in tech didn't know about this new rule. Safe bet that the duct tape thing is OK until you get the new stuff.
