That is the first image I ever saw of the front. I still have no technical info.

    Gotta love Michelin communication skills....

Looks like a slick with some afterthought grooves?

Is it replacing the DOT race? What is its purpose? Thanks!

I'm personally not impressed by a picture of tread pattern. It looks to me like the cross sectional lines on the surface say 'new manufacturing technique'.

Don't act like you're not impressed

But yeah, those cross sectional lines resemble MotoGP tires ya see in pit row.

    Re: New Michelin Power One

The cross sectional lines are indicative of a C3M tire. You can see it in the interior casing.

C3M is a process used in both street and race tires produced in France.

I wish I knew more. The rear looks like a Shinko 003, and the front pattern is like nothing we have ever seen before.

These tires on their way to us. I just have no info, pricing, etc.

I was happy to see the front image. All I have seen in the past is prototype rear photos.

The Power Race line is officially dead. Last of that production was in July. This is the new worldwide DOT line.

    Re: New Michelin Power One

From the picture it looks like Michelin has chosen to stay with a triangulated profile. This is interesting given that most of the other manufactures (i.e. P, D & B) have been transitioning to a less steep and gradual profile.

    Interesting.....

The trick with race tires is trying to make a living selling them. And that is no easy feat.
