Do ya s'pose GP bikes get false neutrals? The kind you would UPshift from to avoid being a gear too low inadvertently?
Maybe but I doubt it with it all being seamless and controlled by the box
Just watched it. It's at about the 52 minute mark as they come down the straight and approach the first chicane. Hmm....... odd.... The gear indicator definitely bounces around just like you said.
My theory is that the gear indicator is driven by RPM and speed... and when Rossi leans right for the kink in the straight, as he approaches the left/right chicane, the indicator shows "downshifts" when there actually weren't any.
They show a slow-mo replay of the pass, but I don't see these phantom downshifts... may not have been early enough to catch them.
No one can shift that many times in a braking zone. The slipper clutch would do all that suppoed adjusment anyway. That's what they are for

MotoGP: Suzuki ECSTAR's Andrea Iannone Calls Mugello "My Circuit"
This weekend's gonna be fun...Rossi with a little chip on his shoulder after f'ing up in France too.
Rossi's crash was such a tough pill to swallow. Hopefully his fortunes turn around in Italy.
Oh man you can say that again.
I'd love to see Iannone tear it up out there but not holding my breath. Hope Rossi kicks some ass though.
Rossi is injured. Not from his crash in the last GP but from a motocross incident and hes in pain. This will be a challenging weekend for him so you may need to lower expectations.
Yea, just read his participation is in question.
Last April I had a similar MX crash. I rode a trackday one week later and it HURT. I was a few seconds off my pace too. When your core is compromised this sport become VERY difficult. I'm guessing he pulls out of this one after practice.
One hurdle cleared as he was declared fit to ride.
Vinales-Rossi 1-2 in qualifying. Hopefully Rossi can suck up the pain for race distance and keep it exciting
It's amazing how stacked with talent this field is. Q2 was good watching, can't wait for the race.
Super happy for Dovi, Danilo, and Ducati in general. After the first few laps, the race was meh, but the whole weekend was very exciting to watch play out.
That front straight is brutal. Those guys have absolute balls of steal. Marquez save was impressive as always, but the fact Dovi got that bike stopped and into the corner when he had his moment during the race was incredible. I was just waiting for him to T-bone Vinales.
The Ducatis looked like they had nitrous on the straight!
WOW!!! What a trio of races in Mugello!
Watched GP and 3 yesterday & thought "Eh, maybe I'll skip Moto2. It'll probably be a snoozer after the other two races" but I'm glad I put it on. What a fuckin race at the end!
lol. Read the post you quoted to the end. :P
Thanks for the spoiler, though! Good thing I already saw it! :lmao: :twofinger
(just bustin ya chops ;) )
DAAMMN!!!!! :shredder:
It must be pretty embarrassing for Jorge to be languishing at the back of the pack while Danillo and Dovi are winning/taking podiums.
