I really wish I had more time to watch Moto 2 and 3, there's just so much good racing going on and not hours in the day. Between MotoAmerica, WorldSBK, and MotoGP, I typically just get to watch the top class and that's it.
Really awesome GP race though, towards the end I thought Dovi might just pull off the three-pete but it looks like he spent his tires just catching up to the lead pack. I was pulling for him. Championship is shaping up to be something very interesting. Really great ride by Rossi.
RE: Zarco. He's been awesome to watch, but he continues going out there on the soft compound tires and fading before we get to race distance. Of course I understand the soft compounds have a lot to do with why he can get out front early on, but at a certain point it would seem that if you can't go the distance something needs to change.
Marquez back to holding court as the king. If Lorenzo doesn't get his shit together I may have to sell the duck and pick up an R1M...

Yeah Marquez definitely ran a good race, championship is pretty tight now!
moto2 only 3ish seconds off the GP pace. That's insane.
Yep... those guys were fuckin slidin around. Definitely pushing hard.
Anyone have a motogp pass they want to split?
These letters from "Lorenzo" craaaack me the fuck up :lmao:
“They cannot ride fast when their private parts are rotting with the disease of whores.” – BIKE ME!
Bwaahahaha....funny as hell. Love this quote:
"Now behind the carriage, and this is important, will be a chain made of 99 links. And attached to that chain will be the Yellow Puta’s stupid Yamaha, which I will drag on its side behind my carriage until it catches fire. This may take a few laps."
....Pretty funny. Too funny to be real.
I don't see how that got approved honestly.. it was supposed to flow with the body..
Not sure about the flow with the body part of it. From what I can remember they said that the wings had to be an integral part of the bodywork.
With the second pic, I can definitely understand why they're calling it "hammerhead bodywork." Looks just as ugly as the shark.
Kill it with fire
That bodywork reminds me of Nien Numb from star wars.
Brno was a fun one, I love the strategy races. Whether Maq's lap 2 tire change was planned that way or not, it was cool to watch it all play out and the other 3 guys in the championship chase trying to salvage some points. The piece in the beginning about Rossi's first 125cc title was great, love the hair.
Man, Ive become so bored with MotoGP lately, I dont know why. I barely even watch the race, and usually fast forward the last handful of laps. It just doesnt hold my attention. F1? Ill watch the entire race, and be perfectly happy. I dont know what the difference is.
Glad to see even the top rider's in the world drop their bike's in the pits like us common people lol
I have experienced the same thing lately. Moto3 I can watch flag to flag. Moto2, MotoGP and even WSBK/WSS I get bored with the lack of passing and general drama throughout the race. Occasionally there is a good race with battles but for the most part whoever gets out front early stays there.
F1, though admittedly it is manufactured by the current rule structure, can be more interesting due to tire strategy as well as pit stop timing strategy. It seems that the only MotoGP races that have been interesting lately have been due to weather influencing things and sometimes it winds up causing drama and excitement and others it is still somewhat boring.
I'll still DVR and watch the races though because you never know when there is going to be a barn burner that is worth watching flag to flag.
Those last few corners were fun. Hat tip to Marquez for riding like there wasn't a championship to worry about...
Not sure what went down with Rossi & Vinales, maybe they felt the bikes were at a disadvantage and not worth the risk of pushing harder, or maybe already pushing it?
Good race either way, Dovi earned it
That was a fun race. I thought MM was right on the edge of dangerous in the final corner - I'm not sure how he expected Dovi to get around the corner. Glad they both pushed hard to the finish and didn't settle
What's up with the Yamahas? Rossi and Vinales on the 2017 chassis finishing behind Zarco on the 2016. If you look at the lap times MM and Dovi had their fastest laps on lap 15 and were still putting in 1'24s at the end. Rossi and Vinales fastest on laps 4 & 7 and were in the 1'25s from the mid point to the finish.
Whichever tire team Yamaha rode it didn't last. Which is odd because a soft rear won the race
That was a good race. Nice try by Marquez on the last corner. Loved Dovi's reaction to that pass attempt.
good race indeed. i usually will put a race on (IMSA, MOTO GP, WEC, ect) on and have it as background noise while i work on something. i found myself stopping a lot and looking over at the tv for this one.
