I think Zarco made a good move waiting a year to make the bump. Hopefully the Tech 3 is a stepping stone to something greater...sadly in recent years its been a lateral or step down for most riders. I see a lot of the same style in Zarco as everyone saw in Vinales. But I guess all the MotoGP experts don't.

Soup :: Rabat Won't Return Until He's Ready For The Physical Demands of a MotoGP Bike :: 02-02-2017
Yikes, I don't see Tito getting another motogp ride after this season.

That just sounds to me like they don't want to set him up for failure by returning too soon. Not sure if one time out on a bike is enough to judge his potential. Admittedly, crashing a million dollar bike doesn't help.

You're going to want to google Tito Rabat before you attempt to be smart anymore.
(he crashed his face off all season last year)

You guys watching the Phillip Island test? The KTM sounds amazing and Rossi looks really serious already.
I'm not his biggest fan but it's one helluva story - Lorenzo looks smooth...like Yamaha M1 smooth on the Ducati. What does it all mean?

I was able to watch it live last night and plan to do same tonight?

Yea, I got the email saying watch live, last night. Snoozed the email til this morning, and now it's not showing day 1 full session, just highlights. Kinda sucks, since it's 8hrs, and I'm not saying up to watch it in one chunk. When you watched live, was there commentary and interviews like Sepang?
Yes sir - interviews with the teams and lots of color commentary during live. Looking forward to tonight. PI is such a cool track. 4hrs and 33mins...

Ah backflips... yeah that guy
Yea Paul, I had the same BS. I gave up, after far too long.
I had it playing in the background at work last night and it took me like 3-4 times of hearing the same interviews to figure it out....
Maverick really stuck it to everyone in day 2.
I know this is quite the speculation...but Rossi posted a photo of his elbow firmly planted on the ground the other day on a very flat curbing. He rarely touched his elbow down as compared to Lorenzo on the Yamaha. I haven't watched any video of him this year, but maybe another adjustment to his riding style? Can't beat em then join em?

I didn't watch last night, date night.
It's gotta be Marquez vs. Vinales...right? I still can't believe Folgar on a tech3 bike!

Tech3 has last years bike, and they don't need to develop it much. This is exactly why testing is misleading. Riders on good bikes from last year are often surprisingly fast while the factories sort through unproven parts. Come race time, though, things usually flip back to normal and the factories rise back to dominance (especially when they hit europe).
Folger's pace is impressive though, as is Bautista. Hell, even Aleix impressed.
Vinales looks to be on another level though.
We're talking about a pure rookie on a satellite bike, come on man.
