Guess WSB took RPMs away from the Ducati so the margin of victory is smaller... will they add weight next?

That was the most amazing, boring race I've watched in awhile. I admit I was REALLLLY wanting Valentino to win. That said, I'm really happy for Rins and Jack. It's rare to see that level of pure happiness these days.

This weekend was brutal. MotoGP, WorldSBK, MotoA (Which I just found out I get with youtubeTV!), and the biggest cycling race of the year - Paris Roubaix. I'm slowly allowing myself back onto the internet as I tick through these, it is taking forever.

You moved to a place that has a local pub that is interested in MotoGP? You have won.

To be fair, the crowd consisted of Paul, Kerry and the bartender, who was actually screaming because they ran out of pickled eggs.

Hahaa. Nope. We have a great local beer hall. The owner is a huge motogp fan. We have a good regular crowd for the races at 6pm sunday of racedays.

    The good:
Live streaming was flawless. It really does kick the shit out of BeIN's coverage. i feel like you get more comprehensive coverage of the race (camera angles, replays) over the VideoPass live stream vs network TV coverage. The app is a nice one stop for watching the races real time, I always hated having to boot it up on the computer then cast it to the TV. There is actually an app now. That in itself is great.

    The bad:
Cannot pause either live or archived video. Discovered the latter Friday night when I was playing around with it, the former when I was watching the GP race and had to piss with like 8 to go. I held it.
Cannot view all aspects completed aspects of the race weekend. In my mind, you should be able to open a submenu for each round that you can load up all of the practices and qualifying sessions after they've occurred. It was up live for each one, but they don't have a comprehensive video archive accessible through the app. I didn't get home this morning until after the Moto 3 race. I want to watch it but as of now I have to do it on the computer and cast it.

So they just released the app across all of the streaming platforms earlier in the week, the Roku app was delayed a couple of days further than the rest (Apple/Fire/Android.) I'm hoping they develop the archived content further, I expect they will but then again it took them until 2019 to develop an app at all. As long as you're watching live it's definitely still better than casting.
So I'm finding myself stuck in the house holding a small human these days, with plenty of time on my hands. I splurged and bought myself this MotoGP video-pass thing. Over the last week or two I got caught up on rounds 1-3 and then watched all three round 4 races today. This roku review must be out of date. I'm watching it on roku and am pretty happy with it. I haven't watched anything live yet. But you can definitely pause archive video. And while the app isn't organized that nicely, it is organized by event. Something of a pain in the ass as you have to wade through 49209 early season testing and press conference events to get to what you want. Right now my biggest peeve with the roku app is it does not remember where you are. My viewing is often limited to 10-15 min at a time. It'd be nice to quit the app and then jump back in later.

Great thing about motorcycle racing is that it is almost exactly as entertaining with the commentary and sound as it is with a small human screaming in your ear blocking out that commentary and sound.

As for the racing.. stunning. Honestly liking moto 2 and 3 more than the main event to a large extent. I pull for VR46 just because. I had a great time explaining to my wife that that cat has been in it since the year 2000 and is basically my age. She is somewhat concerned that parents let those kids race Moto3. The resident 5 year old is getting somewhat into it too-all part of my master plan. She roots for whoever is in the lead. We are all expected to pick our "favorites" at the start. She changes her favorite every time the race leader changes. Although only she is allowed to change her favorite. Moto3 is a lot of fun. Brings new definition to the phrase "the house always wins".

Also watched a 2005 US GP race. Hayden and Edwards 1&2.. Rossi 3rd. Seems like 3 or 4 eras ago.

Speaking of eras ago. I'm not up to speed with the politics. What's Spencers role? I fucking love Freddie Spencer.

Freddie Spencer is the referee. He decides if someone gets penalties. They brought him in to have a rider's perspective and to make it more transparent/fair.

That was another exciting/boring race. The outcome for the championship battle was good. A Rossi storm to the podium would have been better, but it took him half the race to get by Miller.

Look a little closer. After race coverage has concluded, you can't go back and watch the full length races for Moto 2 and 3, usually it's just a 10 minutes compressed version. They always have the full length GP race, and usually GP qualifying, but never full length races from 2 & 3. I would like to see a "No Spoiler" section like they have on the website, where you can just go in and watch every session from every class.

Agreed. It's nice to see the run that Rins has been on as well.

Moto 2 did not disappoint. Our boy Remy sure grabbed a fist full on the exit of 1, that was a giant shit show. I'd say it was unfortunate for Alex, and it was, but I can't exactly bring myself to feel bad for him. Interesting, I don't hate on MM93 one bit, honestly like the guy. There's just something about AM that I hate. Navarro sure put on an impressive show, just needed another lap.

Mine does. I've yet to watch anything live. Definitely giving me full races for all three events. I usually skip to the ~10-12 minute mark as a reflex now as I don't need to listen to commentators while watching riders sit on their machines wearing goofy euro-millennial sunglasses. Although the umbrella babes almost makes up for it.

While on the subject, I find it incredibly awkward that they often (always?) do not show video of the rider they are interviewing when they talk to riders on grid, but rather video of another, unrelated rider.

I haven't watched any of the qualifying yet. But its all there in the menu.

I did notice that none of the Spanish GP races were available until hours after the event was done. I watched Moto3 at like 8AM. I think the GP race was underway at that point. Yet moto2 wasn't available for review, only 3 was.

I use my phone and a $30 chrome cast. Pretty flawless. I know nothing about Roku or what it even does.

    That looked like it hurt.

I was definitely pulling for Alex Marquez's crew to get the bike back together.

It's like a chrome cast but does more and isn't bound to google in any way.
