He would at least end up on the podium if not win the race and I’d bet on that. Wish it could somehow happen.

THat was insane. I wonder how long it will be before the friendly teammate model falls apart at Ducati? Petrucci ran a hard race against Dovi, and that last lap pass was like a bull.

    Bravo.

Petrucci had the pace all weekend, I'm so glad he won.
Dovi was off pace all weekend. Super impressive ride to the Podium. I would have loved to see him P2 for the championship, but not the end of the world.
Marq wasn't off pace, but he was riding harder than he has all season just to stick with it.

My underdog support has switched from Cal to Jack. I wanted Jack on the podium. That said, I'll always root for any underdog.

Haven't watched moto 3 or 2 yet. Moto 3 is always terrifyingly awesome at Mugello. 8 wide into T1 every lap! Its a bicycle race with all the drafting.

Most excellent. Rins ran a hell of a race, too.. if he had just a bit more grunt I think things would have looked different on the podium.

Absolutely, he rode the wheels off the RR. We need races like this to be the norm!

    Re: MotoGP 2019 (spoilers)

I would say that race was a result of a combination of being one of the greatest ever and being and generally lucky person.

Looks like Lorenzo's trip the HRC in Japan was very fruitful for Honda.

The race has potential to be great with 99 starting off fast. But he turned it into a snooze fest also.

I feel like Rossi went down on purpose. At this point I think he doesn’t even want to try, just take on whatever excuse can get him out of it. Super far fetched I know but come on.

Can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic but I’d say the same thing about the previous race too.

I think you’re talking about Mugello...today was Catalunya.

And just like that, the championship is over. I never want anyone to crash or take anyone out, but at least take out the dude who’s walking away with the championship, not all the contenders. I almost turned it off after that.

That’s the shame about MM. the greatest rider that ever lived is sort of getting lost in the boring racing. We need someone to at least somewhat challenge him. We need Rossi 10 years ago. Make the crazy pass in the last turn. Flip someone off. Give the sport some action. We needed Petrucci to get up and smack 99 today lol

    Re: MotoGP 2019 (spoilers)

Shame about the carnage, that was shaping up to be an excellent race with great championship implications. Even if MM would have checked out on the lead group after taking Dovi, there still would have been excellent racing at the front. Actually, there still was excellent racing at the front. I thought it was a hoot watching Rins try and get around Petrucci, he was riding the wheels off of that bike. Absolute crashfest all around, didn't less than 15 riders finish? On to Assen, I love this track.

No sarcasm. I thought he got taken out by that bike. Not much that could have been done to avoid it.

I'm new to watching moto-gp. Maybe missing something.

No. Not missing anything. He hit the bike once, locked the front, almost saved it, then his rear tire hit the bike kicking it out to the side and throwing him down.

That's exactly what I saw. VR46 is a lot of things but I don't believe "quitter" is one of them. The suggestion is absurd.

You guys, I think Sav was thinking about Mugello when he laid it down in the gravel, not Catalunya.

Sorry homies was catching up. Yes my reference to Rossi was to Mugello when he was 22nd (?) and had to lay her down. Just happened to do be on the same post (was watching racing and highlights on the same day).
Wit that being said, I’m not 100% sure he gave it all he had to save Catalunya either. Sure it was bad luck of events and why would he give up when he was running at the front I just think we have seen him fight harder and be better than that.

    Re: MotoGP 2019 (spoilers)

Nearly shut it off after the first crashfest, what a disappointment. Wonder how much Marquez paid him for that lol

Still 12 races left, it ain't over yet. Maybe Rossi will decide it's all-or-nothing time. He'll need a few miracles. But Dovi and Rins are in reach.

Seriously though if Rossi DNFs at Assen I'm just going to cry

Yes whoreha was a Dumas but Moto3 was one of the best races I've ever seen. The last lap was crazy. I think I could count 23 bikes at anytime that could have went from last to first in less that a lap. CRAZY!
