2020 is awesome because we’re taking everything we’ve known about recent GP racing and thrown it in the trash. They run basically the same calendar every year. You don’t run Jerez in the dog days of summer because 130 degree+ track conditions. These guys have done thousands of laps around Jerez, but almost none under those conditions. That extends to basically every track. This year is all about discounting your previous track knowledge and setup in favor of adapting to the conditions of the weekend. The teams who do that the best will end the season in the best position. Toss in MM93 isn’t around and we have the most compelling racing we’ve seen in a very long time. It’s awesome going into every race weekend with more speculation than shit you want to put your money on.
Honestly, if they want to make GP racing exciting again (after this year,) they should draw the Europe race order out of a hat every year. Mix up the conditions, make them work harder.

I like this theory. Also, taking the alpha dog out of the mix means the rest of the pack suddenly has a shot at it. The game is a big part mental. Confidence, self belief, belief in your equipment, determination and where you visualize yourself make a big difference in performance at the end of the day. Remove the shadow of MM93 and some light shines on these traits in other riders.
True, but if they shake up the order of the schedule, I think it mitigates the alien factor, it should also increase the competitiveness of the satellite teams. A leveling of the playing field.

We really have to address the commentary at some point but still one of the best last laps in the history of GP

Yeah, I think it was Pol that said in one of the press conferences "With Marquez out, EVERYONE believes they can win".
(EDIT: It was Miguel Oliveira that said it, but my opinion of Pol below still stands)
Speaking of Pol, after last week's red flag fits, he won me back with both his in race performance and post race response. Another great race.

I finally watched them all.
Can we have sprint race every weekend? I'm so happy for Herve. His post race emotion with Simon was the most heartfelt conversation I've heard in the 8 years I've been watching MotoGP. I almost teared up.
I'll reflect on the rest later, but a lot of what Paul, Duncan, and Pete said.

Monster qualifying lap from Top Gun, smashed the lap record. Can’t wait for the race!
Great practice sessions, too. Pumped to see Rossi doing well!

Ooooof. Rossi.
Really happy for Franky!
That was a pretty exciting, boring race. I feel like Marc is still gonna win this championship.
I’ve said before how impressed I am with Morbidelli’s English, but did anyone hear Oliveria in the press conference? They’re both astonishing.

FUCK YOU, Joan!!! Why you gotta delay Rossi's 200th podium another week?!?!
That was a fucking HELL of a pass tho... gahd dam.

I don't miss Marc. He probably would have won every single race so far.

When Mir made that pass I stood up from the sofa and yelled at the tv. Rins was stuck behind Rossi forever looking for a way past, Mir had one lap to make a move, knew it wouldn't work at any of the typical places and found a way
Same track this coming weekend
Haven't had the time to listen to post race synopsis, but I assume they're blaming the hard tire?
