Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
For the most part a pretty boring race today except for the last lap. Would like to see laps like that throughout the race. Huge props for Alex Marquez. The Saturday highside was brutal. I'm happy Mir closed it out today. Next week they can just go for it and not have to worry about points. Hoping for an exciting race. The track looks awesome.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
Fuckin epic last lap.
Once again I'm gutted for Taka.
WHO the FUCK, at the beginning of the season, woulda guessed Mir on a Suzuki??? I mean, I think we could all make the argument that he's always been in the conversation, but I don't know anyone who woulda actually put their money on it happening. Good for him!

Simon Crafar has been his Mir's court the whole time. I would say just him. The only person.
I was pulling for Miller, but I really like Franky too! Watched the start, worked through the middle, on the edge my seat in the last few laps as that gap closed! Kinda the status quo for watching motoGP races.

In Motogp that's probably the exception, not the rule. With tire wear being a real problem, and the HP differences between the bikes it's just not as likely as in the other classes. the control tires do help some, but as we see, it really hurts some bikes at some tracks more than others. Again, moreso in the GP class due to radical configuration differences.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
Maybe this isn't the proper place but Moto3 is looking to get a little interesting in 2021 with GasGas coming in.

Is KTM not already involved in Moto3? New GasGas will likely be a rebadged KTM

Maybe it will maybe it wont. I didn't see anything that said either way. I just think the more manufacturers you get involved the better for all of us.

It's on the short list for sure! But honestly, it looks so great because they ride flat ass computer generated tracks mostly. I feel so lucky to be riding Palmer and NYST regularly. Barber is tiny in comparison, but is also a rollercoaster. Portimao has it all.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
Always loved watching the superbikes go around there, such a physical track with those elevation changes!
Joe Roberts being linked to Aprilia??
I mean, I say I wouldn't, but we all know we'd take the opportunity to ride the worst bike on the grid for a fat paycheck.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
Holy shit, I just got around to putting practice on. FUCK ME I wanna ride this track!
Kinda funny, right now the top four riders in P1 are
Maverick
Mir
Miller
Miguel
Spells out exactly what how I feel about this track.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
I think Honda is going to wish they hadn't kicked Marks brother to the curb so quickly. Yeh, he crashed a few times but when he stayed on he seems to have found his pace.

Which seems to be the Marquez thing

He's gotten away with a lot of crashes unscathed, the odds just caught up with him. plus trying to race right after was dumb and might have made things worst!
His bro had a couple of good results but after that he crashed a lot trying to keep pace? !

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
I think they might have made a mistake not keeping Alex, but I can't wait to see how Pol does.

I'm with you here. Alex was riding the bike pretty good near the end of the year. He did better then the past teammates. Pol will be interesting to watch. I think if he does the off line somewhat erratic stuff he was doing with the KTM this year, next year on the Honda he is going to be hitting the deck a lot.
I do hope Marc comes back 100% next year. This season was fun to watch without him since it was so chaotic but to me there is always that shred of doubt when the guy that has pretty much owned the series gets beaten because of injury. I want to see someone beat the man toe to toe.
-
Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
Meh. Managing injury (by not crashing) is part of what it takes to own the series. Getting put on the ground by others is bad luck. Over riding and throwing yourself on the deck is something different.
I wish him luck and good health. But I did not miss him this season.

I agree. This had been one of my favorite seasons. No aliens, everyone pushing, mixed results and mixed machines all year. Very competitive with awesome racing....I know at their level, it's all about consistency and not making mistakes, but damn, what a great season!
