Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
I was going to start with Joe Roberts but that wouldn’t really be fair to KTM and BB would it? The GP race was awesome! That move around the outside by Binder to get through the traffic was ballsy, and if I’m honest I figured on him cooking his tires with the way he was riding. Looking back at it now we know KTM just had it dialed in better than anyone else. Super pumped for the kid and for KTM, I hope they keep it going! I’m a bit split on the Zarco/Pol incident. I know Zarco should have yielded, not cause he could see Pol because he couldn’t, but because he should have known Pol would be there. I also am firmly in the Zarco hater group. Also, Pol just blew two consecutive corners and I’m sorry but if you blow the corner you don’t have right to the line. Also, the way Zarco pulled off that long lap penalty was nuts. So maybe I hate him less now? Great run from FM as well, he had a solid weekend except for his silly FP3 crash. Really humble dude, really smart race knowing he didn’t have the winning pace, glad he got his first trip to the podium.
Great job by Joe in Moto2. His start was weak as hell but I’m not sure it would have made much difference, EB is on fire right now. They were clearly looking for him to press hard and try and gap the field early with that tire choice, good on him for managing it well towards the end when it went away. Lastly, you only get your first podium once so WOW for big style points and balls crossing the line with a stand up whoolie!
Great race weekend all together. Got my moneys worth for sure.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
Haven't watched anything but MotoGP yet.
Super pumped for Binder...I've been all over him this year.
Similar sentiment as Duncan on Pol. I don't think he deserved to be crashed out. I think the penalty dished out to Zarco was pretty fair. Racing incident that you kind of have to put slight blame on Zarco for. If Pol did everything perfect before and Zarco just tried to shove it up the inside, then I would probably be blaming him more, but Pol was recovering from poor lines and not as predictable as normal.
I like Quartararo, but good to see him in some trouble and having to manage. That's the next step he'll need to win the championship against a fit Marc. Needs to finish every race on the podium, there is no other way. I bet he learned something from this.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
I just rewatched the whole sequence a few times of the Pol crash, he was definitely in the wrong. Maybe if he hadn’t just badly blown T13, but sorry Pol. How many times does Zarco have to wait for you to get your line right? Also, if anyone is inclined, definitely watch the post race press conference. I’ve gone from hating Zarco to thinking he’s awesome just like that. Honestly I thought he showed some genuine contrition over his KTM departure and went out of his way to congratulate them on their success. That got a nod from me, then when he sang the song he and Binder wrote I was like OK fuck it, you’re cool again.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
Phew! So much goodness this weekend. I feel for Pol, but I really didn't think Zarco even deserved a long lap for that. Pol ran wide twice. Zarco rode the correct line and was not overly aggressive. Pol was a little too agro in recovering the line. Race incident. Zarc moves up a notch for the ride, and for that long lap madness! Sometimes our customers at trackdays pull that shit off on the outside edge, in the marbles, cranked over. It always shocks me. But This one was intentional, and at GP pace!
Also, I think Binder was going to beat Pol anyway. The way he was riding, I don't think anyone was going to match. Exciting to watch. He's bringing entry speed back!
Frankie, very nice ride to 2nd.
Quatararo better not panic and learn how to salvage a result on a bad day.

Fuck you, get out of my head.
I'm not losing sleep by the fact that Pol crashed out in the incident.... I mean, it's a shame he went down, but I don't think he deserved to keep the spot given the mistakes he was making at the time. He was pushing hard, which I love to see, but he was probably pushing a little too hard and needed to learn some patience in that moment. Though I wish it went more cleanly, Zarco was riding cleaner and was deserving of the overtake.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
Bah, mixing conditions in Austria is NOT what I wanted to see. I can go to Loudon for that!

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
JZ has some balls pulling off that LLP.
As for the indecent.. Just racing and if anything is was less his fault if anything.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
Sounds like Dovi got fed up with Ducati dicking around with if he would be there or not next year and gave them the finger. Hopefully he lands a good ride next year.

I hope he does find a good ride. Tardozzi says Jorge has expressed that he’d like the seat for 2021....

The racing asside from the wrecks was outstanding across all 3 levels. I love that the championship is still wide open. Marquez still has a shot which is nuts.
I'll wait until they all download for a bit but as it stands I think I might want to kick Pol in the nuts. Initial reaction after the wreck I get. No idea what happened. But he kept his spoiled attitude going after and then rode like shit. I do want to see a better replay of the crash.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
Pol cant get out of his head. Rossi should have a strong drink after that

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
Really want to see that crash again, it’s like they’re intentionally not showing it because Pol is Spanish.
From the onboard shot they did briefly show, looks like Pol may have run well wide and hit MO when he re-entered the line?

Pol got what he deserved. Pumped for Dovi to pull off the win, and what a ride for Mir!! Cant wait for Rins to be 100%.

Yeah, I woke my wife up when that happened. Carnage today, extremely fortunate there aren't any serious injuries.
Good (free) video on MotoGp.com that has a lot of riders reaction to the crash today.

Again! Same as his last incident with Zarco.
Speaking of Zarco, after reading his response to rossi and watching it again and again, he really wasn't that wide. Maybe a foot or two wider than the other bikes that passed though before him. I think he's getting blamed for someting that wasn't his fault.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
One of the scariest crashes I've seen. The potential for that kind of crash was obvious looking at the track layout and the line/hard braking on the way in there. Just glad (and amazed) that nobody got hurt. That could have been lights out for both Maverick and Rossi. Really scary shit...

Still can't really tell what happened. Pol definitely went really wide, as he was for a few corners/laps previously. Olivera went inside, but it looks like he came out to the edge of the track and ran into Pol. Looks like they were both wide.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
WOW. I might hang 'em up if I was Rossi. I couldn't imagine anything but death if he got clipped by either bike. His on board footage was astonishing. I've said it to my non-motorcycle friends a million times...motorcycle racing is very safe 99% of the time. You just can't do anything about that 1% when something unpredictable happens. At tracks like Loudon, maybe the split is more like 90/10%.
Racing was fantastic. I wish there wasn't a red flag, but it was completely necessary. I just think the racing would have been even better with original tires and original lead group.
All things considered, I can't imagine Marc not winning every one of these races if he was in them. I like it better without him. Sorry.

Re: MotoGP 2020 (Spoilers)
Not that I am disagreeing at all with the concern for Rossi's well being in this event, I find it odd however that his name is used far more frequently than Vinales. Had Zarco's bike continued unimpeded it surely would have taken out Vinales and still almost did. The front end digging into the grass/curb and launching the bike skyward and over Vinales head is the only reason that he didn't get taken out. Most likely has to do with the celebrity that is Rossi and the fan's and media's love for him.
Overall, thankful that none of the involved, or even close to involved, riders in both the MotoGP and Moto2 crashes were injured more seriously than they were.
