So far looks like its going to be a great season to watch
Wasn't the most exciting race to watch but I think it showed us there that there is potential for a very exciting season. MM looks to be back in the fold and PA is going to be a force to reckon with once he figures out how to not burn up the tires too early.
 just a quick FYI, I didn't search so if it's been mentioned previously my apologies, but I was flipping around this afternoon and was a bit shocked to see MotoGP on TRU TV channel, https://www.trutv.com/tv-schedule they are repeating it & the sprint race Monday starting at 7pm..
No idea if they have the hole season, not much info on the site.
The Lusail track is brutal on tyres (tires) #89, #33 were both losing grip. Algarve in Portugal Grande Primio won't chew up tires like the sand blasted Lusail does. Can't wait to see Acosta in two weeks time. I jumped on the Acosta train when he won in Doha from pit lane. Amazing talent and go on to be Moto3 champ that year.
What an awesome opening round. I watched Moto3 and Moto2 highlights and those looked like pretty epic races as well.
I'm pumped for what MM93 and Pedro Acosta are going to bring to this season! PA looked like he was in REALLY good form early on. Super confident but not over exuberant. Showed a lot of maturity and poise battling with those big dogs and not getting too over excited. He rode as if he approached this as any other race and not his debut against what I'm sure have been his childhood idols. If he can adapt to preserving that tire for the last 5 laps or so, he's going to make one hell of an impact on the standings this year. I predict he'll be in the top 5 at the end of the season so long as he can keep that mentality, keep it on two wheels and doesn't get plagued with bad luck. Marquez will be top 3 and I think that's a safe bet.
Fantasy related: I REALLY wish we could still see other people's teams. Looking at the world league the leaders have got 193.5 points... like... HOW?! I noticed that three of them are from South Africa, so they absolutely had to have doubled up on Binder. That's 80 right there for just 3m spent which is a giant move. Well played on that one, I'll give em that.
I believe it was the same last year for the 1st two rounds then you could see the others. guess it's to try and eliminate copy cats.Quote:

I can see others now.
Looks like the top scoring fantasy team this round was Pecco (doubled), Binder, Acosta, Morbidelli, Ducati & Red Bull Gas Gas for $14.9 mil.
I wonder if there were any other higher scoring permutations... I guess if there were, chances are that someone prob woulda had it.
Binder was the highest points scoring rider per dollar. (13.333 points per million). (Pecco #2, Martin #3)
Ducati the highest points scoring constructor per dollar (12.2/mil)
Ducati Lenovo the highest team per dollar (10/mil)
be interesting to see how the dollar values go for the next round..
Over race distance the bikes were much faster at Qatar, how much faster?
Honda and Yamaha have their work cut out for them, improving race time by 15s doesn't even get you in the ball park now.Quote:

BTW, If anyone on here is going to TX, we are trying sitting in the T15bleachers towards the jumbotron (back straight). We are going to organize some kind of meet up for the damned Yankees that are there.
I have to skip this year….I’m taking 10 days to go to Europe and ride the Alps….Another 5 days for Austin would have been a tough sell for the wife. Didn’t even ask :D Discretion is the better part of valor and all….
Degsy and Scottie will be down as Marshals again this year.
OK, I will post up. We actually stay out in the country (Lockhart). But we will go in to Austin at least once. We have a sweet hookup. We will have street bikes to ride around while there, and this year we have the opportunity to ride an Aprilia trackday the monday after the race, sooooo, our track bikes are headed out there as well. To say we are excited is an understatement!
I’m finally caught up.
Any additional info come out from Pirelli on the medium tire in the moto2 race? Crazy stuff, useless after 5 laps for some while the soft lasted the whole race.
Also, these are literally the tires that we buy off the rack. Not tires created track by track with data from previous years. Some tracks are particularly hard on tires and that off the rack stuff might not hold up...
Yep this season is delivering so far. What a wild race.
Just a quick follow-up for those without the MotoGP package, it looks like TNT / TruTV will have the full season, with a replay monday nights at 7PM:

Maybe I’ll chime in later with some more thoughts….but holy hell I was pumped for Canet to finally get one! Well deserved, glad he finally put it on the top step.
5 years in Moto2, 15 times in 2nd place, crashed out of the lead quite a few times. He’s also shown some real guts riding through difficult injuries. He’s no alien, but I find him to be a really entertaining rider.
This Paco dude is some pumpkins eh!!??!!
Great races in all three divisions..
Pumped for Tattoo to get his win. I've been rooting for him for a while.
A glimmer for the Blurds (Blue Turds). Both in the top ten.
Mav found something.. Hope he can keep the birdy in his hands and ad to the mix up front.
