MAN, what a round... how crazy is it that BRAAAAAAD BIG BALLS BINDER was the only factory rider on the podium all weekend? Mind blown.
I'm pumped Franco found something on the Yami. Hopefully he's able to hold onto whatever that is and remain in good form.
Hot Take: Alex Marquez will still have a mathematical chance of winning the championship with fewer than 5 rounds to go, maybe even 3. Of course he won't win it, but he'll be a factor.
I DO really like the sprints, but still worry that they won't be sustainable in the long run. I'm hopeful but only time will tell if the riders & the teams can bash for that many hot laps each weekend.

I’ll find out my corner assignment on Thursday during training. I’m a first-timer so I don’t get to choose.
Where are y’all staying? We have an AirBnB close to the track for W-Sa nights. Sunday night were at the Hilton in downtown Austin for shenanigans before flying out Monday.

I'm bummed we couldn't make it this year. We were hoping to go but we already booked a little weekend trip to go dirt biking in PA.
Hopefully we can make it work next year. Would love to go & corner work.

looked into going last minute. Fights are the killer. Still good tickets available. have not even checked for a place to stay. Better planning will be there next year. Also looking into Portugal or Spain might be cheaper?
15 is not a big crash zone. now that i said that ..... have fun.
If my Explorer was fixed, and it's not and I'm no happy about it. I'd be there! 960 miles on a Daytona, Thruxton or Speed 1200RR ain't my thing.
Marquez and slimy Puig now crying about the long lap penalty being enforced at his next race, ‘stay of execution’.
No impact to COTA race since he’s sitting out again!
Let them cry, me thinks that they thought they would get out of it because of the injury and missed races. too bad for him NOT.
looks like Honda and MM may get out of the penalty after all. https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/10...til-after-cota
Busy day so far! We’re between T12 and 13. So far I’ve picked up and pushed Jack and Augusto Fernandez. All the KTM’s are crashing here.

Saw you! FP2 pushing Stefan Bradl!
A man of many names...Jay, Gennaro, Gerry, etc.
Yessir!
If anyone is wondering about the line they’re taking through T12, they’re about 5-6 feet off the apex. Here’s why:
And also this:
Anyway, it’s pretty ugly. Most of the bikes are backing it in and power sliding out. Only exception to that is Fabio, who is absolutely fucking railing it. He is extremely fast through Sector 4, my station is the timing loop right at the beginning of the sector. It’s a shame he’s losing so much elsewhere.

Great insight Duncan….things you don’t see on the screen.
Stoked for Rins!!
Awesome time this weekend, I’ll do a write up later. Super pumped for Rins as well, he definitely pressured Pecco into that crash. Here’s me picking up Aleix in T12 on lap 1, a buddy of mine in Belgium screen grabbed it and sent to me. He was super bummed, I walked him back behind the wall. It was super real seeing the disappointment in his eyes.

Talk about full circle, met Aleix poolside at the Hilton in Austin! He was with his kids, very kind. I said hello, I picked you up in T12 today. Very sorry about the result. He said, thanks for picking me up, I remember you. Thanked me, and said on the crash, “this is racing.” Really cool fan moment.
Also met Pecco downstairs in Starbucks. He was not a happy camper, he was there with his girlfriend and sister. He said hello, but it was not appropriate to ask for selfies.

Holy hell, just keeps going. Just met Antonio Jimenez in the Admiral’s Club in Austin, Aleix’ crew chief. I showed him the pictures of Aleix and I posted above, we had a good laugh. Chatted with us for 10 minutes or so about their weekend, super generous with their time. Also invited me to contact him at the next event I attend so I can visit their garage. Wow!
God damnit! I’m an Aleix fan now!!!

Dude, that's so friggin awesome.
Sylwia and I were toying with the idea of going but realized we had already booked & paid for a different event this past weekend... If it weren't for that I was going to reach out to Neil and see if I (or we) could have gotten in on a cornerworker gig.
Pretty awesome seeing all of you guys post your experiences. I'm glad everyone had a kickass time!
