The main event, yes. The Moto2 race on the other hand was the exact opposite. Fun as hell to watch

I fell asleep... seriously. Might have been the Indian Buffet gorging right before the race, though. I put a hurtin' on the Shahi Paneer Korma.

Really??? Did we watch the same race? Masterful strategy ... Passes that brought smiles to my face ... then a smooth ride to the finish ... all 3 podium finishers, no doubt, having plenty to ruminate over in the post race briefing! Damn... I love that shit no matter what!!! ... and yes, 2 & 3 are excellent, but they almost suffer from their own chaos... anyone can win on any given day if you've finished in the top 8 or so, great small bike pack racing that never fails to entertain. But then... slowly... the cream always rises... eventually ... but what a fun trip to watch thru the MOTO GP season. Glad it's back.

Yeah it is! Tho, he NEEDS to be charging with Dovi in the first year of his contract and Bradley Smith already signed for 2013 on the team. Guess where that leaves Crutchlow.....
Loved the glowing brakes into T1 from both of them. Crutchlow was HAAARD on the brakes every lap. Good run from Dovi too for his first outing on the Yami.

I thought it was a great race. Nice to see a race instead of Stoner taking off in the first lap only to be joined on the podium. Edwards did fine on the CRT and Hayden was up towards the front. Moto 2 was awesome.

    Re: MotoGP Qatar

moto 2 is where its at. i was hoping for closer battles for the top spots in GP with all the new rules but alas, no such luck. i shut it off halfway through. Moto 3 should be 450s or something. it was fun to watch for sure but 250s just arent fast enough.

    Re: MotoGP Qatar

Moto3 should definitely be 450cc. Moto2 is OK, but it's really just WSS over again. The bikes are just fat and heavy for GP. They lumber into the corners compared to real GP bikes. Most of the passes occur when a rider can't get their fat, heavy bike stopped for the turns. Bring back the 2 strokes!! Go direct injection for the tech dev side of things. That would have applications all over the motorsports industry.

Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Stoner - more of the same.

Yeah, I'm a Duc fan and seriously dissapointed in the current situation with Ducati. But I happy whenever a race for the win is interesting and exciting. And this was just a replay of most of the season last year...and points to an identical season this year. One of the three will end up with a lead after 4 laps of so and then extend it.

    So, yeah....yawn...!!!

Yea I hate those races that are decided in the last 3 laps, without a clear picture of who's going to win even on the last lap!

PS: The 2-strokes aren't coming back. Time to move on.

Never! I loves me my 2-smoke, and knowing what the DI setups are capable off I won't get off the bandwagon yet.
