basically.
I don't race. But I know two people who crashed because of a line painted across a corner of a motorcycle race track.
Hmmmmmm......
You're not in this anymore. You should go over to www.crotcheting.net and call it a wrap.

For what its worth, I love complaining as much as the next guy but ive also had a lot of conversations with Tom at the track regarding issues that I either see or hear about. Everything I have brought to him he has been receptive to listening and trying to find a way to fix the problems. I realize he has to then take those things to the next level up and get approvals which he may or may not be able to get. But I can say I bug the hell out of him pretty much anytime I see him about different things that come up. Most of which are from my perspective as a corner captain and most are ways to make things safer for all of you.
The last time I was up there I bent his ear for 30 minutes about issues and some complains about waves in the pavement coming out of the new setup in 2. He wanted to know where they were and he would have someone look into it because they shouldnt be there. Tom is going to be VERY GOOD for LRRS up there, change sucks, things will go wrong but in the end hes on of the best guys I could imagine to have as a front line for us all to bounce ideas through. He gave me his card to call or email anything else I could come up with.
He would come hang out with us in the pits after the races and talk with us candidly about what we thought they could do to bring back the fun, and try to bring in some fans, and new racers. Hes definitely trying.

I am going to have to say that the problem was not the white line.
I didn't even know the fuckin thing was there until one of the woods which ever the fuck one it is that does the riders meeting mentioned that it caused 5 crashes. I'm gonna say that it probably wasn't the line but folks had something to blame it on instead of themselves so they did.

If they want more fans, here's an idea that won't cost them a dime: put something on the big electronic sign about LRRS when we are racing, rather than ads for NASCAR tickets. Quick and easy reprogramming for the weekend. Then people would actually know when there is something going on.

can someone post tom's email address here
yes....i drink minute maid. 64 ounces a container.
If they want people to show up don't charge $25 to show up for 3 hours of racing on a Sunday. There's more attraction to spectate a trackday, you see just as much action and at least there are redbull girls.

Ever been to a party with 6 people at it? It fucking blows, no one wants to be there.
Not even if they're giving away free booze.
Now up the charge to $20 a drink to make up for the lack of people there and those 6 people stop coming too.
that OJ shit still cracks me up.
because I was AWOL (and I can be a little slow) for the last meeting, what are the confirmed changes for next year and the big issues that are getting thrown around.
1. Painted line in T1A
2. Must buy transponders (confirmed yes/no?)
3. Legends car guys trying to take over T1A (there will be a battle)
4. Lack of advertising
5. Any increased fees (yes/no?)
what else am I missing? add to the list if you want.
The way I look at it is..................you wanna play, play by the rules or stay the eff home. The rest of us don't want your crybaby ass there anyway.
Go to fuckin jersey and race there if you don't like lrrs.

Its going to take about 12 beers, and a few Jager bombs so I don't remember making an ass of myself by doing the "white-guy-knee-bob" dance. then i'll probably puke on myself, pass out in my trailer.
As long as the legends guys are at least as halfway decent as everyone else in T1/T1A, I'm sure we'll all get along fine. I was actually trying to talk my dad/bro's into racing one of them so we could do a family weekend thing at the track.
back on topic, i'm not complaining about anything, I'm just trying to figure out what the big changes were going to be next year. any clue on when we can start buying the used transponders from LRRS?
