Saw this on the WERA site. It's called Anti-Slosh Fuel Foam. It's supposed to dissipate the effects of your fuel moving around in your tank, especially upon heavy braking.

What happens when it starts tp break up? Does it end up in your fuel system?

I ran it in my racecar and changed it every 2 years.

It was in my 125 for over 10 years. Never broke down. It's good in any bike that has a top heavy fueltank. Not JUST small bikes. The MuZ needed it for example, and I bet some motards would benefit. Basically if you sit on your bike with 3/4 tank of fuel and rock it a bit then relax and you feel it continued to rock, then you can benefit from it.

I have it in my bike. It came in a used tank that I bought, and I've had it for over 2 years. No break down.

Brother-in-law hand it in his race car for... ummm... a long as time (years). No problem there.

Re: Anyone ever used this stuff in their track/race bike?

I have it in the TZ. It also keeps the fuel pump primed. Under hard braking the gas moves to the front of the tank and to the rear under accelleration. When the fuel pump is allowed to run "wild" it leads to premature failure......My ex always ran around with about a gallon of gas in her car and would need a pump every year it seemed. I would tell her never to let it get under a 1/4 but she would say "Give me some money" I would tell her "lets make a deal"

I've got it in my Sv and it makes a ton of difference. Especially in places where you must rapidly throw the bike from one direction to another. I thought it was kind of hokey at first. But man is it nice not to have to deal with 20+ lbs of fuel sloshing around in the tank.

There must be different brands out there. Mine was from HRC. It comes with a 125 when you buy it. Indestructible.

Drain the fuel between races. Measure. Put in what you need plus 3 laps.

    Gas weighs about 6.2lbs* /gallon.

I developed and manage the fuel test program at LRRS** FYI - I see just 1 or 2 bikes that have this stuff in their tank...

Interesting point: Most experts and top amateurs have very little fuel left in the tank when they get called into tech post race, for fuel testing...hint - stuffed tank or not, why carry extra weight.

If you use pump gas - then you have approx 10% ethanol. Three weeks is about how long fuel lasts with methanol.....and that's with tight control on water absorption....(so get your fuel from busy gas pumps).

Now you are going to say, "I keep fuel in the tank and use it next year.....or my car can sit for weeks"...... as water is heavier - what can't be absorbed sits in the bottom of your tank... and sure - your motor will start even after phase separation (but Octane rating is way down) but ever wonder why sometimes it feels like it might be down on power?.....

Methanol has about 2/3 less energy per volume then gasoline. it is hygroscopic, meaning it will quickly absorb water vapor directly from the atmosphere resulting in Phase seperation of fuel and fuel efficieny can decrease between 2-40%.
It is also good idea to install a water seperator filter(10microns or better).

    * weight depends on blend and additives such as methanol and how much H2O the methanol has absorbed-which is a big issue for performance***)

According to the dude at Riders Direct, it's $55, shipped. Seems to be pretty pricey pieces of foam.
