    NHIS radio?

So I'm looking to get a radio to hear the corner workers. What type do I need? Is it a hand held CB? Any brands to stay away from?

    NHIS radio?

Scanner, not a CB. Go to Radio Shack and bear a Uniden or Bearcat. They are good enough for the money. The Radio Shack branded ones are just name brands without the nameplate.

Remember, if it doesn't have a big speaker that can blast loud, it sure as hell better have a plug for headphones. A scanner you can't hear is worthless.

    NHIS radio?

I have a radio shack brand scanner.....I have mine at every race weekend and it is invaluable.

you can use any police/weather scanner that can pick up the frequency. You do want to make sure you do not have a two way so you don't get in trouble as you can listen but not talk.

This is the one I have, I paid about 89.00, it looks like they only have it as a bundle on line....
